Hey fellow gamers and tech enthusiasts,
I hope this post finds you all well. I’ve recently encountered a puzzling issue with my 240Hz monitor, and I’m turning to this amazing community for some insights and advice.
The Problem: I recently purchased a brand new 240Hz monitor to elevate my gaming experience to the next level. However, I’m facing an unexpected problem. While the monitor is supposed to support 240Hz refresh rate, I’m only able to select and set it to a maximum of 144Hz in my display settings. I’ve tried everything I can think of, from updating drivers to checking the cable connection, but nothing seems to allow me to access the full 240Hz.
What I’ve Tried:
Updated my graphics card drivers to the latest version.
Ensured that the monitor’s firmware is up to date.
Tried different DisplayPort and HDMI cables to rule out any cable issues.
Double-checked that the monitor’s OSD settings are correctly configured for 240Hz.
Tested the monitor on another computer, and it worked at 240Hz, so the monitor itself seems to be fine.
System Specs:
Graphics Card: [GTX1650TI]
Operating System: [Window 11]
I’m really perplexed by this issue, and I’m hoping that someone in this wonderful community might have some insight into what could be causing the problem. Has anyone else faced a similar issue with their 240Hz monitor? Is there something I might be overlooking? Any tips, suggestions, or troubleshooting steps you can share would be greatly appreciated.
If you need any more information about my setup or the troubleshooting steps I’ve taken so far, please let me know. I’m eager to get this sorted out so I can finally experience the full potential of my new monitor.
Thank you all in advance for your help and support!
Best regards,
Yamaris
