Since Google acquired Fitbit, there has been a clear focus on fitness and with the new functions and advances, we can say that it is a clear competitor to the Apple Watch and the king of wearables.

What comes in the box of our Pixel Watch 3

1. Box
2. Interchangeable straps
3. Instructions and warranty
4. Usb-c input charging cable
5. Smartwatch
Here we see the smartwatch more closely, with its rotating crown and the strap changing system, as well as the smartwatch from behind with its activity and pulse detection LEDs.

I had a hard time putting the straps on at first, but then they seemed like a good anchor. The bad thing is that you can’t fit a 20 or 22mm universal strap.

Once turned on, it asks us to download the Google Pixel Watch application to link and then accept the verification code on the mobile and the watch and then we will have them paired.

Screen and design
There are not many changes in its predecessor the pixel watch 2, we once again see the combination between glass and aluminum on a round screen. As I said before, this is one of the new features in this pixel watch 3, the size of the versions: 41mm (1.2 inches) and 45mm (1.5 inches) the bezel has been reduced and now we have 10% more screen .

As you saw in the unboxing, it comes with a silicone strap, available in several colors, mine is black since I chose the black model. This uses an anchoring system that is somewhat complicated to understand the first time and which means that we need official replacement straps or those with that anchoring system.

As for the brightness, it has increased compared to its predecessor and now reaches 2000 nits maximum and 1 nit minimum. The refresh rate varies between 1 and 60 hertz, offering greater energy efficiency. The truth is that the screen is amazing, clear colors, brightness, even outdoors it can be seen perfectly.
The watch has a Gorilla 5 3D glass screen that offers shock resistance.
I still bought a screen protector just in case.

Software and testing
The watch 3 carries the latest available version of Wear Os. The 5 and based on Android 14 developed by Google and which offers us an improvement in energy consumption and introduces clock face management. The interface is very simple with cards and quick access to menus and options. You can control the watch from the touch screen or use the rotating crown for this purpose. With a touch of the crown you return to the dial or open the apps. With 2 touches we will open the NFC for contactless payments.
We also have a button located above the crown that opens recent applications or opens the Google Assistant by pressing more than 3 seconds.
With Wear Os 5 we also have the option of transferring the watch and its data from one mobile phone to another and thus avoid the hassle of having to configure it again.
Another thing to keep in mind is the ecosystem, such as Google TV or controlling remote systems from Google devices.
The pixel watch 3 has a UWB chip inside that, if we lose the watch, makes it easier to find it and acts as a smartphone unlocker when we are wearing the watch.
I have had other smartwatches with Wear Os such as the occasional Ticwatch, but the experience of using this Pixel for me has been the best, fluidity and precision make it a safe bet.
I leave you a video of the carousel of cards and functions of the smartwatch
Battery and performance
As I told you before, this 45mm model has a 420mAh battery inside. Thanks to this we will not charge it day by day, but let’s not wait too long, it has lasted me two days at most without charging. This is normal for watches with Wear Os, I come from a Ticwatch E3 that I charged it every 1 day or day and a half. As for the charger that comes with USB-C sales and I didn’t have any charger like that, I had to buy an adapter. Afterwards, I’m not very passionate about the charging system, I would have preferred something more universal so I could use any charger.

Apps Google Pixel Watch and Fitbit
Well, as for the applications that we use with this watch, there are two. The first is Google pixel watch, which is to pair the watch to your smartphone and adjust notifications, watch faces, etc. If you have a watch with Wear Os, it is the same app but in this special case for this Google watch.

You can see how the cards and spheres of our smartwatch are edited from here and also download more applications for it.

As for the Fitbit App, it is the one that monitors our health and physical activity. The truth is that it is very complete, it even has exercise monitors (virtual trainer), which recommend what activities to do, for this you must have a Fitbit premium account. As a novelty there is a race editor, which allows us to modify objectives, distance, time or calories consumed. On the activity screen you can see how much detailed information it offers us, be it steps, heart rate, hours of sleep, etc..

Final conclusions
I have to say that this Google Pixel watch 3 has pleasantly surprised me, it is for me the best Wear Os that exists on the market and therefore the best smartwatch for Android users. I loved its huge screen and the clarity to see all the information. I was already a user of this type of watches but the premium quality is noticeable and even more so in this watch.
