Hey all!
Over the weekend I upgraded my gaming setup with the REDMAGIC 4K Gaming Monitor. I’m really impressed with it, as I can confidently say it’s the best computer monitor I’ve ever owned.
Specs:
Screen size: 27″ | Aspect ratio: 16:9 | Resolution: 3,840 × 2,160 | Panel type: LCD IPS G-Sync, FreeSync Compatible | HDR compatibility: DisplayHDR 1000 | Brightness: 650cd/m2 | Refresh rate: 160Hz | Response time: 1ms | Inputs: 2 x HDMI 2.1, 1 x DisplayPort 1.4, 1 x USB-C (DisplayPort mode), 2 x USB-A, 1 x USB-B
Colors are crazy vibrant. There’s a lot of different presets for different games, such as FPS mode and MOBA mode. However, the best part is you can format it to however you like as it’s fairly customizable. You can change things like different color temperatures and hue/saturation. It also comes with a number of gaming features baked into the system (a lot of which you can also find on REDMAGIC phones) like a customizable crosshair for shooting games, FPS counter, and Freesync. There’s also extra USB ports on the back so you can easily slot some of your desk accessories in there. Don’t forget about the RGB LEDs on the back! It’s not a gaming product without RGBs. 🤣
This monitor is on the pricey side at $869 but I got a deal for it for $661. With all these specs and features though, you’d expect it cost more to be honest. As similar monitors would cost over $1000 easily, especially from a big brand like ASUS ROG or Samsung. If you are looking to upgrade your monitor to 4K, I’d say this is definitely worth the price.
