In the voting for the second phone to be tested, the REDMAGIC 10 Pro Golden Saga won. A lot of us didn’t think it was the best choice since there are already reviews on the page, but hey, it was a democratic decision. So, based on a comment from @Lili_Anderson, where she pointed out that reviews always focus on performance, I started thinking:
Since the Golden Saga version has the same specs as the Pro+ (the main differences from the regular Pro are the battery, RAM, and storage), I wanted to see what else we could test on this phone besides its main selling point—gaming power.
But first, let’s take a look at what makes it different from the original REDMAGIC 10 Pro?.

Its main attraction is the design, shifting from the usual “gamer” style to something more elegant and flashy—like a billionaire’s phone obsessed with gold. And it’s not just gold-colored; it actually has real gold in its build. According to the official website, it’s “Silver & gold-plated with carbon fiber and sapphire built inside.”
Even with these premium materials, it doesn’t have an IP rating, and they don’t specify how resistant it is to drops. But considering it’s made with strong metals, it should handle accidental falls better than most glass-backed phones.
If you’re not familiar with the REDMAGIC 10 Pro+ specs, you can check them on the official website.

Now, back to the main topic—making a review of this phone without repeating the same stuff is a challenge. At the end of the day, it delivers on its promise: being a gaming phone. If you want to see a great performance test, I highly recommend @El_Nicolas review (it’s in spanish).
But I noticed most people focused only on gaming, so I have a suggestion for the next review:
How about testing it for work-related tasks? Video editing, image editing, digital drawing in apps like Ibis Paint, design, or even 3D animation (Yes, is possible on a phone.). Sure, it’s not something most people will use daily, but it could be a cool way to make the review stand out.
I’m also curious about emulators, especially Nintendo Switch. Will it actually run games well?

And here’s another potentially interesting (and maybe controversial) idea—the cameras. Gaming phones aren’t known for great cameras, but what if we push them to their limits? We could explore its pro mode, tweak the settings, and—why not? Install GCam to see how much we can improve its photography.

So, what would you test on the REDMAGIC 10 Pro Golden Saga? Let me know in the comments!
