Design, Build, and Technical Specifications

- Materials and build quality:
Right out of the box, the UWANT D100 impresses with its solid construction. The body is made of plastic, with a simple white and gray design. The finishes show care: the materials are sturdy, well assembled, with great attention to functional details. Aesthetically, it’s not a showpiece, but the ergonomics and UX (user experience) are carefully designed, as we’ll see later. It doesn’t feel like a cheap product, but rather a device built to last.
In the package, we also find the push-in charging, washing, and drying base, a bottle of cleaning solution, an additional roller brush and filter, and a replacement for the deodorizing stick a sign that UWANT has also thought about long-term maintenance.
The D100 measures approximately 266 × 233 × 1120 mm and weighs 4.3 kg, making it relatively lightweight for this category. The water tank is integrated into a single block internally divided into two compartments (clean/dirty) for convenience. This design makes it easier to fill and empty the water during large cleaning sessions, avoiding the need to handle two separate units.
The capacity is 650 ml for clean water and 700 ml for dirty water slightly lower than some competitors, but justified by the 2-in-1 tank concept. According to UWANT, the D100 can cover about 180 m² on a full tank. From my experience, this heavily depends on the amount of water and the selected mode: in my case, using the maximum level, I managed to clean around 80 m² before needing a refill.
The dirty water tank includes a deodorizing stick that neutralizes 99% of bad odors, along with a solid/liquid separation system that traps debris, making emptying more practical. The air filter is a washable HEPA type, which captures fine particles to protect both our health and the floor washer’s motor.
The high-speed brushless motor delivers a rated power of 230 W and generates suction up to 17,000 Pa. This is a respectable value for a device in this category. In real-world use, this suction power allows the D100 to easily pick up dirt, crumbs, and pet hair even along edges and in grout lines.
The UWANT D100 is equipped with a 6-cell lithium-ion battery pack (22.2 V, 3000 mAh each), for a total capacity of about 100 Wh. The claimed runtime is up to 35 minutes in standard mode. In my testing, this figure is realistic in Auto mode when used in relatively clean environments. When using maximum power or a lot of water, the time drops to 25–30 minutes at most on par with competitors.
A full recharge takes about 4 hours: no fast charging, but still within acceptable limits. The runtime is sufficient to clean apartments of 100–120 m² on a single charge. For larger homes, a recharge or alternating rooms might be necessary. Higher-end models offer slightly more (up to 40/45 min). It’s worth noting that the D100 does not have a removable battery, so you can’t swap in a spare on the fly a feature that’s still uncommon in this category.
- Ergonomics and Innovations:

During use, the D100 feels very maneuverable. The center of gravity is quite low (motor and tanks are located in the lower part of the body), and the “floating-axis” handle is designed to reduce wrist strain. UWANT claims that the ergonomic handle makes the vacuum feel “as light as a smartphone in your hand” a bit of an exaggeration, but the unit does indeed self-propel forward thanks to the motorized roller, eliminating the need to push. Pulling it back is also effortless thanks to its light weight.
The ultra-flat 180° design allows the handle to be lowered completely and the floor washer to be slid under furniture and beds. The height when laid flat is about 15.5 cm, and the head itself is around 7 cm tall: this makes it possible to clean under kitchen units and toe kicks. A rear wheel and rotating handle improve maneuverability when the device is flat.

An innovative feature is the Push-in base: the D100 simply needs to be guided into the base without lifting it, avoiding the annoying water streaks usually left behind when lifting other models.
A suggestion to UWANT: make the base heavier and more stable, as it tends to shift unless it’s leaning against a wall or held in place while removing the floor washer.

Another notable and innovative aspect is how easy it is to clean the base and the internal parts of the device. The bottom of the base can be removed and easily washed in a sink. Once the roller is removed, the internal section can be rinsed under running water or in the shower, thanks to the tilting motor housing and the IPX6-rated motor that powers the roller.

The D100 is relatively quiet: about 74 dB(A) during operation, roughly equivalent to a lively conversation. It doesn’t produce high-pitched whistles or annoying noises and doesn’t scare pets. UWANT even labels it “Pet Friendly” thanks to its low noise output.
- Smart Sensors and Cleaning Modes:
The UWANT D100 is equipped with an integrated sensor system called IFSS (Intelligent Floor Sensing System) that detects the level of dirt on the floor in real time. In Auto mode, the D100 automatically adjusts suction power and water flow based on how dirty the surface is. If it passes over a stubborn stain or a very dusty area, the motor increases its speed and water output intensifies; on already clean floors, it reduces flow to save battery and avoid soaking the surface too much.
Even though the UWANT doesn’t feature a color-changing LED indicator, you can hear the power adjustment from the change in motor sound, and you can monitor battery status via light indicators on the display, which also shows the active mode and system alerts.
There’s a Dry mode (suction only), useful for vacuuming up liquids without activating water flow handy if you’ve spilled something that doesn’t need further water. UWANT notes this mode can also be used for vacuuming dust only, though water will still be sprayed for 5 seconds to protect the machine.
A Turbo mode is available for very dirty areas and tough stains, pushing the roller speed, suction, and water flow to the max.
So, only three main modes, but UWANT added a thoughtful feature: a dedicated button to manually adjust the water flow across three levels. This allows you to preserve delicate surfaces like hardwood floors or go heavy on water for tougher materials like rustic tiles or stoneware.

Washing Technologies
One of the standout features of the UWANT D100 is its focus on hygiene and practicality when it comes to floor cleaning:
- PrecisionClean Spray System:
The D100 uses a 24-nozzle multi-jet system that distributes water evenly and precisely onto the roller. This helps loosen dirt without soaking the floor excessively, preventing streaks and water marks. The result is streak-free floors that are walkable in just a few minutes, also thanks to the suction system that immediately picks up the dirty water.

- “Chemical-Free” Cleaning with Electrolyzed Water:
Inside the tank, the D100 features a built-in module that performs real-time water electrolysis, creating a natural disinfectant. The device generates electrolyzed water capable of eliminating up to 99.9% of bacteria. This means you can clean your floors without chemical detergents or combine it with their excellent cleaning solution if desired. This aspect is particularly appreciated in homes with crawling babies or pets (no potentially toxic residue left on the floor). This technology, usually found in far more expensive devices, helps reduce the need for detergents while maintaining strong sanitizing power. It’s worth noting that the electrolysis takes just a few seconds to activate and runs automatically during use: simply fill the tank and turn the device on the D100 does the rest. A small lit window lets you see the electrolysis process in action, which is a nice touch.

- Self-Cleaning Roller with Integrated Drying:
After cleaning your floors, you can park the D100 on its base and activate the self-cleaning mode by pressing the dedicated button, which also controls water flow adjustment. The roller brush starts spinning at high speed and alternates direction (dual-rotation technology) while being rinsed with clean water, effectively removing built-up dirt. This cycle lasts about two minutes and clears the roller of debris and hair, collecting them in the dirty water tank.
Then the “Whispering Breeze” warm air drying function kicks in at 60°C: a gentle stream of warm air dries the roller to prevent it from staying damp. This has two major benefits: the dry roller is ready for the next use without generating odors or mold, and you don’t have to detach it for air drying like with some budget models. UWANT highlights that the drying system is “as quiet as a breeze” and indeed, the noise is minimal and barely noticeable in a normal room.
Similar features are found in high-end models, but it’s impressive to see this in a more affordable device. A particularly smart feature I’ve only found on the D100 is that if you return the floor washer to the base after a short use and forget to start self-cleaning, the base will still automatically activate the drying cycle after a few minutes. Features like this show UWANT’s exceptional attention to every detail.

- Anti-Tangle and Edge Cleaning:
The brush roller features an anti-tangle comb design, specifically engineered to capture hair and minimize tangling. Additionally, the cleaning head exposes one side of the roller, allowing it to clean right up to the wall just 2 mm away. In practice, it can pick up dirt along walls almost completely, leaving only a tiny 2 mm strip that’s physically unreachable. This is one of the D100’s standout features: some competitors in this price range only have edge-cleaning on one side (the other side has a much wider margin), while UWANT proudly claims a “Triple Edge Cleaning” system.

In reality, “Triple Edge” is a bit of a marketing term: the D100 cleans very well on the right edge, leaves about 4 mm on the left, and the front-facing design of the brush cover allows the roller to reach the baseboard directly. Thanks to the 180° swivel head, it can follow along the baseboards both straight and sideways. Overall, the D100 performs excellently even in corners.

This is where some differences emerge compared to high-end models, but for many users, simplicity is actually a plus: fewer features also mean fewer chances for malfunctions or complications. The D100 does not offer app connectivity or an advanced display. Those looking for a more “smart” experience, with app integration and detailed on-screen info, will find more complete but also more expensive alternatives.
Personally, I would have appreciated the ability to see the exact battery percentage instead of simple bars, or a visual indicator of dirt level via a color-changing LED. However, these are minor details that don’t affect the actual cleaning quality, and many consumers will consider them unnecessary. The essentials like automatic management are already present and well implemented.
Field Test: Common Use Cases
Beyond technical specs and general impressions, how does the UWANT D100 actually perform in real-world situations? Let’s look at some practical use cases from pet hair to stubborn stains to highlight its strengths and potential limitations.
- Daily Cleaning of Dust and Hair:
For a standard daily pass on hard floors (ceramic, tile, sealed parquet), the D100 performs excellently. In Auto mode, it moves through rooms collecting fine dust, hair, and light dirt, leaving surfaces shiny and helping remove grime that a dry vacuum can’t pick up. The sensor adjusts power and water flow based on floor dirtiness, automatically reducing both to save battery. In lightly soiled spaces like bedrooms, 650 ml of water can cover up to 120–150 m². Personally, I’ve integrated the D100 into my daily routine in place of a stick vacuum: within a few minutes, you get both vacuuming and washing done.
Tip: Always empty the dirty water tank after each use, even if it’s not full, to prevent odors and keep the filter efficient, a one-minute task.
- Homes with Pets (Dogs/Cats):
This is where the D100 truly shines. Pet hair is vacuumed without tangling, and no clumps form. Food crumbs, crushed kibble, and muddy pawprints are effectively removed, especially using Turbo mode or multiple criss-cross passes. The water electrolysis and anti-odor stick help keep the dirty water tank smelling fresh.
Result: fewer hair tufts around the house and no lingering “wet dog” smell.
- Kitchen Stains and Stubborn Dirt:
The D100 also performs very well on kitchen floors, where you often find coffee spills, sauce splashes, oil drops, or sticky residues. The 450 RPM rotating roller is capable of removing grime without the need for pre-treatment. Even light grease marks (e.g., olive oil) are cleaned up easily, especially when using the included detergent (which is of excellent quality) or any neutral, non-foaming floor cleaner.
The Dry mode can be used first to vacuum up large liquid spills (like milk or juice), followed by a wash pass to remove sticky residue. Even thicker substances like egg yolk, yogurt, or dense food messes are handled well just make sure to clean the filter thoroughly right after use if it gets dirty.
On sealed or varnished parquet, the Auto mode with the lowest water level can be used safely. Moisture is minimal and drying is quick. On oiled or natural wood floors, Dry mode is a better choice, potentially alternating with Auto mode for targeted stain removal.
One of the main advantages here is the very small amount of residual water left behind, especially compared to traditional mops.
Like all roller floor washers, the D100 is not designed for fabric carpets. UWANT specifies that it’s compatible only with rubber or plastic rugs (non-absorbent). Using it on absorbent materials may result in excessive soaking, with no effective way to dry them.
- Tight Spaces, Stairs, and Obstacles:
Thanks to its compact design and swivel head, the D100 handles tight hallways and small bathrooms well. It can maneuver around the base of a toilet and under sinks and cabinets (up to the physical limit of the cleaning head).
As for stairs, being a vertical device, it’s not ideal for frequent lifting. However, on wide and open staircases, it can be carefully placed step by step to clean them with caution.
In tight spaces like storage rooms or closets, the pivoting head allows for precise maneuvers, even making it easy to back out of corners. Wherever a cordless vacuum can go, the UWANT D100 can usually follow.
In all these scenarios, the UWANT D100 proves to be extremely versatile. These types of devices are quickly replacing not only traditional vacuums but also mops and buckets especially for daily cleaning tasks.
It doesn’t completely replace an occasional deep clean (like for high baseboards or carpeted areas), but for everyday vacuuming and mopping, it does its job excellently, saving both time and effort.
Practical tip: In addition to running the self-cleaning cycle after each use, leave the dirty water tank lid open to allow ventilation and prevent bad odors. The deodorizing stick is effective, but a bit of airflow never hurts. Clean the HEPA filter about once a week, especially if you’re picking up a lot of fine dust this helps maintain high performance and prolongs the device’s lifespan.
Price and Value for Money
The UWANT D100 is positioned as a mid-range product, priced around €319–329 in Italy (often discounted on Amazon). That makes it more affordable than many floor washers with similar features.
Considering it offers several functions typical of high-end models like smart sensors, self-cleaning with drying, electrolyzed water, and full 180° recline, the value for money is definitely one of its strongest points.
In other words, with the UWANT D100, you get most of the features of premium devices while saving a significant amount. The only compromises are the lack of an advanced display, no smart connectivity, and slightly smaller water tanks, minor drawbacks for the vast majority of users.
Technical Verdict
On paper and in real-world tests, the UWANT D100 holds up very well against the main competitors. It doesn’t suffer from any structural flaws or major shortcomings in fact, it stands out for several clever features, such as:
Conclusions
The UWANT D100 floor-washing vacuum turned out to be a pleasant surprise. Despite coming from an emerging brand, it competes on equal footing with more established models, offering an excellent balance of performance, innovation, and price.
It’s powerful (it vacuums everything from cereal to liquids), smart (automatically adjusts suction and water flow, self-cleans the roller), and incredibly versatile (perfect for parquet, ceramic, stoneware, and homes with children or pets).
Of course, it’s not perfect: battery life could be slightly improved, and a few more smart features like a battery percentage display or warm water washing would make it even more complete. But these are acceptable trade-offs, especially given the competitive price. It’s likely these improvements will be included in future higher-end models.
The D100 also stands out for its attention to detail: convenient base, well-designed tanks, easy maintenance, and useful accessories all included. These are signs that UWANT designed this device by truly listening to real user needs.
In short, if you’re looking for an efficient, practical, and affordable 2-in-1 floor-washing vacuum, the UWANT D100 is definitely worth considering. It’s ideal for those who want consistently clean floors without the hassle no buckets, no mops, and no big spending. It’s a floor washer with an exceptional value-for-money ratio, and very hard to beat in the price range around 300€.
