Hey hey everyone! AnunayC here. Been quite busy with life recently. Finally here is MY review for the Olandance Wearable Stereos. It’s been a blast using them these couple weeks. The review was delayed due to traveling, I got to use these a little later than everyone, but - better late than NEVER? So let’s begin.
The Oladance are open-ear wireless earphones. The attached “fin” to the ear, as I like to call it, stands out the most - it’s a flexible titanium wireframe ear hook. Because of the open-ear design, people prefer to refer to it as wearable stereo speakers rather than earbuds. Interesting!
With the Oladance Wearable Stereo, you can embrace an open soundscape that is unlike any other in-ear or open-type earbuds. This is due to Oladance’s patented open design, which has no tip at all. Because of this, it can sit on top of your ear and send sound directly into your ear canal from a short distance away. Because your ear is completely open, it will not cause skin irritation, tinnitus, or hearing loss, as other earbuds can. Furthermore, with an innovative design that does not obstruct your hearing, they allow you to hear both your music and your surroundings at the same time. As a result, they are ideal for use as running or workout headphones. Because it’s critical to be aware of your surroundings, with these earbuds, you can immerse yourself in your audio while remaining aware of what’s going on in the real world.
TLDR;
Pros:
Enhanced by the 16.2mm driver.
Per charge, you can get up to 16 hours of battery life With charging case, up to 94 hours
Without the use of extra ear wings, it appears to be secure for running
Titanium wireframe with enhanced memory (ear hook)
Cons:
- IP rating for dust protection or water ingress even though it seems to be durable enough
- More than twice the weight of most high-end sports earbuds, case and earphones seem bulky for everyday use
- Wireless charging is not supported by the charging case, case does not have a fast pair button
- Audio seems flat out of the box, unless tuned using the app
I like to be able to hear what’s going on around me when I’m in class or doing my work around the dorm. I can talk on the phone while watching TV and hearing the microwave. I can wear them while running errands and listen to a convo beside me (lol) at the same time. It’s convenience. Plus also having an option to tone it in a way not to do it. They aren’t isolating, which is their point, so there is still a need for isolation, whether passive or active noise isolation.
Hope you liked the mini review! I will add my final thoughts once I thoroughly use them and invited some of my friends to test out the product as well! ;)
