I can’t even begin to explain how excited I am about the Nintendo Switch 2 being available for August tryouts. I’ve been waiting for this moment ever since the first rumors started going around. Nintendo has been such a huge part of my life since I was a kid, from playing the classic Pokémon games on my Game Boy to spending hours on Mario with my Nintendo DS Lite. Over the years I’ve held onto all my favorite consoles, including my Game Boy, Game Boy Color, Game Boy Advance, Game Boy Advance SP, DS Lite, and of course my Nintendo Switch OLED, because each one represents a piece of my gaming journey. The thought of getting to experience the Switch 2 feels like stepping into the next chapter of that journey. I’m especially impressed by the new features, and the fact that the Joy-Cons can even be used as a mouse shows how creative Nintendo continues to be with their consoles. Even though I haven’t been able to afford one yet, the chance to try it out and see what it can really do would mean so much to me. For someone who has grown up with Nintendo, getting hands-on with the Switch 2 isn’t just about testing a new console, it’s about continuing a lifelong love for the games and experiences that have always been there for me.
