Product Review: SonicVibes Earbuds with Touchscreen Case
Rating: ★★★★☆ (⅘) – Amazing sound and features for the price, but the fit and touch controls can sometimes be frustrating.
Likes & Dislikes:
Likes: Great sound quality, comfortable to wear, customizable EQ with multiple presets, noise cancelling and ambient modes, spatial audio option, excellent battery life, touchscreen case is handy.
Dislikes: Sometimes feels like they might fall out, and adjusting them often triggers the touch controls which pauses or plays the music.
Appearance:
The earbuds look sleek and modern. The touchscreen case adds a nice futuristic touch and makes it feel more premium than the price would suggest.
Setup and Connection:
Easy to set up and pair with devices. The connection is stable and quick, and I haven’t had major issues with dropouts.
Display Performance:
The touchscreen case works well and makes managing settings and checking status simple. It’s clear and responsive enough for what it needs to do.
Functionality:
These earbuds are loaded with features: EQ settings that let you boost bass or vocals, full noise cancelling or ambient mode, and spatial audio. The touch controls on the earbuds themselves are convenient, but can sometimes get in the way when adjusting the fit.
Performance in Different Scenarios:
Home: Perfect for relaxing, watching videos, or practicing music. The sound modes make a big difference depending on what I’m doing.
Office / commuting: Noise cancelling works great for blocking out distractions. Ambient mode is nice for staying aware of surroundings when needed.
Outdoors: Comfortable and portable, but I do notice they can feel a bit loose if I’m moving around too much.
Other Aspects:
The battery life is excellent. They last a long time on a single charge, and the case makes it easy to manage without worrying about running out of power.
Comparison with Similar Products:
Compared to other budget earbuds, these feel way more advanced because of the EQ options, noise cancelling, and spatial audio. Most earbuds at this price range don’t offer anywhere near this level of customization.
Suggestions / Improvements:
A slightly more secure fit would make a huge difference. I’d also love to see an option to customize or disable the touch controls so accidental pauses don’t happen as often. An app with deeper customization could also make the earbuds even better.
Price Range:
I paid $14.99 CAD on sale from Showcase.ca Online, which is an incredible bang for my buck. I wouldn’t pay more than $30 CAD for them, but at that price point they’re absolutely worth it. They are currently on sale right now for $29.99 CAD
