The Roborock Saros Z70 is here, and itās being called the most advanced home robot in the world. Roborock sent me this unit to test, but this is an honest review Iāll share what works well and what doesnāt.
The Z70 is based on the slim Saros 10R, which is less than 8 cm tall. What makes the Z70 special is its five axis arm. This arm can move in 3D and uses several sensors and cameras: a time of flight sensor, a front camera, and a grip sensor that checks an objectās . The arm can lift up to 300 grams . With help from AI and cloud processing, the Z70 builds a 3D map of your home and learns to adjust as things change

What It Can and Canāt Pick Up
The Z70 can already handle many everyday items. It works well with shoes, paper balls, and even open-toed slippers. It can sometimes manage a glove to.
For safety reasons, it wonāt attempt to pick up power cords or electronics. Soft toys are a "maybe"sometimes it works, sometimes not. In tests, it successfully managed about 6 out of 10 objects.
While this is an impressive start, thereās still room for growth. Future updates and refinements could expand the range of objects it can recognize and handle more consistently, making it even more versatile in daily use.

Cleaning and Organizing Functions
The Saros Z70 can do two main jobs, cleaning and organizing.
In the app, you can set up special āzonesā where it should place shoes or a spot for a collection box. When it starts cleaning, the robot first looks for things it can pick up. After cleaning the floor, it goes back and picks up the chosen items. You can also move the robotās arm yourself using the app itās fun, but a bit tricky to control.

Day to Day Cleaning
Besides the arm, the Z70 works a lot like the Saros 10R. It has two spinning mop pads that clean the floor really well. When it vacuums carpets, the mop pads stay at the base station. The robot also has a flexible side brush that reaches into corners and a special main brush made to cut and handle hair. The anti tangle system works nicely, leaving almost no long hair stuck on the brush.
In tests, the Z70 collected all the sand from hardwood floors. On carpet, it pick about 80% of the sand using max suction and two passes, which is very good for its class.

The Advanced Base Station
The base station has many useful features. It washes the mops with hot water at 80°C, then dries them with warm air. It can also refill the robotās water tank with warm water and empty the dust bin by itself, it has a deregent tank as well and he use the dergent to clean the mops and he use it on the clean water allso. The bottom plate is simple to clean too.
Should You Get One?
The short answer is not everyone should. The Roborock Saros Z70 is a very cool first generation robot, and Roborock deserves credit for being first with this kind of technology. But since itās the first version, the arm is still limited, and it doesnāt always work perfectly. Future updates and newer models will likely make it better.
If you love new tech and want the latest gadgets, the Z70 is an exciting choice. But if you just want a top robot without the arm, the Roborock Saros 10R or the Saros10 are a strong option.
The Z70 shows us what the future of home robots can look like, but you need to keep your expectations realistic.
