The first episode is all about Mova X4 Pro vs X4 Plus: two cordless vacuum–mop cleaners that look almost identical… but have one key feature that can really change the user experience.

Introduction
Today Tech Comparison between two cordless vacuum–mop cleaners from the Mova range: the X4 Pro and the X4 Plus. At first glance they look similar, and they are, but they have a key difference that can greatly change the user experience. Let’s first see what they have in common, then what sets them apart, and finally in which cases to prefer one or the other.
Features in common
Let’s start with the basics: both are equipped with a powerful brushless motor with 20,000 Pa suction, they wash and vacuum both liquid and solid dirt effectively. The 6×5000 mAh battery guarantees up to 45 minutes of autonomy in automatic mode and 25 in hot water mode for the X4 Pro, they are enriched with a dirt detection sensor that automatically adjusts suction and displays the level and amount of dirt on the display, the brush rotation (max 480 rpm) and the water distribution, which takes place through 16 outlets for uniform distribution. Both have a roller self-cleaning system with 100° washing and counter-rotation with hot air drying at 90°, two self-cleaning and drying modes: 1️⃣ Deep, which washes the brush intensely for 6 minutes and starts quick drying in 5 min, useful at the end of use and noisier but ensures better cleaning and drying. 2️⃣ Intelligent, which washes the brush for 3 min. and then intelligent drying starts for 15/30 min, I found this mode suitable to find the vacuum–mop ready in case of use for multiple sessions, quieter.
The push-in type dock station is very convenient and recharges the battery in about 4 hours, you just need to insert the machine by guiding it into the base without lifting it and charging starts immediately, a smart choice also because they are not lightweight, 5.3 and 5.1 Kg, identical dimensions and design with 760 ml tanks for clean water and 730 ml for dirty water (600 is the maximum level if used tilted), which also integrates a separator for solid dirt.
In addition, both the Pro and the Plus can tilt 180° to get under furniture, have a comb-shaped tooth design to minimize hair tangles and also include a green LED lighting system to better see dirt especially in dark areas.
The base is already very complete and modern in both models, both come with a spare filter and roller and a cleaning brush, in the Plus there is also a package of the new Mova floor cleaner detergent, absent in both is the connection to the MovaHome app.

Differences
The real difference lies in the type of user the two versions are aimed at, and it emerges when we look at the extra functions. The X4 Pro has a hot water jet at 80 °C called SpotHeat™️ (actually on the floor it reaches around 40/45°), which dissolves quite well dry or greasy dirt especially between tiles and on irregular floors without risking damage. The X4 Plus, instead, gives up hot water but introduces the automatic detergent dispenser: it decides by itself how much solution to use based on the level of dirt, filling the dedicated dispenser the detergent lasts up to 60 days. This naturally brings the change of the “hot water” mode into “automatic dosing”, other small differences are a couple of aesthetic details, the absence of the trigger to activate the hot water jet and the appearance on the Plus of the detergent indicator light. The other three modes instead are in common: – Intelligent: automatic mode – Ultra: with use of electrolyzed water – Suction: mode for vacuuming liquids or excess water (not to be used dry) Another difference is 25N of declared pressure for the X4 Pro and 20 for X4 Plus, in practical use I did not notice substantial differences.

Which to choose?
The X4 Pro is perfect for those who have complicated floors: stoneware, rustic surfaces, deep joints or stubborn dirt. In these cases the hot water jet makes the difference, because it penetrates better into irregularities and dissolves what the brush alone would struggle to reach. The X4 Plus, instead, is ideal for those who have more delicate or modern floors, such as wood, SPC, laminate or uniform surfaces. Here heat is not needed nor soaking dirt that the brush cannot reach, in fact with floors sensitive to water it’s better not to wet them further, but the automatic dosing function is very convenient: no waste and always the right amount of detergent (little), avoiding possible buildups and streaks.
Conclusion
Pro for those who want help for rough or rustic floors and stubborn dirt, Plus for those who prefer convenience and have smooth or delicate floors. I also leave you with a comparison video.
