Brand New Phones 2025. Which One Actually Stands Out?

Hey everyone 👋

It feels like every few weeks there’s a new phone dropping, and 2025 hasn’t disappointed. Between Apple’s iPhone 16e & 17, Samsung’s S25 Ultra, Google’s Pixel 9, and even newer entries like the Nothing Phone and Xiaomi Redmi Note 14 Pro, there’s a lot to talk about.

Some of these phones focus on camera power, others on AI features, battery life, or even design transparency (looking at you, Nothing 👀). But, with prices climbing past anywhere between 1200+ to 1800+ for some flagships, it makes me wonder.

What actually makes a phone worth upgrading to in 2025?

Is it:

The brand and ecosystem (Apple, Samsung, Google)?
The camera and AI tools?
Battery life / charging speed?
Or maybe the design and sustainability factor?

Would you consider switching to a foldable phone like the Galaxy Z Flip7 FE, or is that still just a “cool concept” rather than practical for everyday life?

I’ll start off right here by saying that one of the best features before iOS 26 update that took place back in September 2026 was Silent Unknown Callers, with the iOS 26 update it is now called Screening Call.

This is when you don’t have the number calling you stored on your cell phone, when you get a call, the caller gets prompted to say their name or leave a message, as the person on the other line is leaving you a message, the message is shown in real-time on your iPhone’s Screen.

At that point, if you think you know that you were either waiting for this call or waiting to talk to this person, you can answer the call and continue with the conversation.

It’s one of the best feature on the iPhones now. That feature alone stops a lot of time wasters calling you, such as cold callers.

There are loads of great features with the iOS 26, this is one of the best ones on the list. 😊
