I usually use Hey Google since I have it on my Pixel Watch too, and I use it quite a lot.

HeyupConecta I’ve always used an iPhone, so my main voice assistant is Siri. For me, it’s mostly about convenience and consistency. Siri is fully integrated across all my devices, from my phone to my watch and even my laptop.

I like that I can start something on one device and continue it on another without having to switch apps or accounts. And the voice recognition has improved a lot over time, especially with more natural language responses.

So in my case, it’s less about the personality and more about how seamlessly it works within my everyday setup.

Well, almost my entire house is optimized with Alexa (including the TVs) so Alexa accompanies me everywhere hehe

I use Google the most because I have a Google Home Smart Speaker in my room and I use it to turn on my lights. #VoiceAssistantVibes

Talking about #VoiceAssistantVibes, I must say favorite one is Home Assistant’s Voice Assist. Unlike the traditional options you mentioned, my Voice Assistant is tailored to me. I can choose,

Any voice for it. I can even train it with my own.
Any hotword to call it, though that requires careful training. Still, the stock “Hey Jarvis” is pretty cool.
Any personality for it. Since I can tweak the system prompt, I can have it be super nice, or even give you snarky remarks whenever you repeat a question.
You can make it as smart or as dumb as you want. The best thing for me is its flexibility. You can use a dumb local version just to control your house with hard-wired commands or you can go all out and plug it to ChatGPT like I did and have it give you very complex answers and react to complex commands.

Perhaps most importantly, it can be ran fully offline, on your own hardware. My Smart Speaker was built with an ESP32 kit, and 3D printed by myself. While I chose to use ChatGPT for simplicity, I could be using my own local LLM to power its smarts.
