Ecovacs Winbot Mini is an advanced yet compact and versatile window-cleaning robot, designed to simplify one of the most inconvenient household chores. The ECOVACS WINBOT MINI focuses on reduced dimensions. While the larger model is suitable for large glass surfaces, such as shop windows or large windows in villas and homes, this mini version covers a wider range of needs because it is designed for smaller glass panels and is generally more flexible when used on glass or mirrors of different sizes.
Cleaning small glass surfaces usually does not represent a major challenge, but there are situations where there are many surfaces to clean and a robot can save time and, above all, avoid dangerous situations, such as using stools or chairs to reach high windows.
Design and technical features
The WINBOT MINI is entirely made of quality plastic with solid construction, featuring a flat and squared design that allows access even to tight spaces. Its dimensions are 215 × 215 × 55 mm, with a weight of 1.3 kg, placing it among the most compact window-cleaning robots in its category.
The body is white and equipped with a soft faux-leather handle, useful for applying and removing the robot from the window in complete safety.
On the top are located:
The robot is officially compatible only with ECOVACS detergent, supplied in the box in a 230 ml format; in the absence of the dedicated solution, it is still possible to temporarily use a compatible detergent for window-cleaning robots or simple water.

Suction and movement system
On the rear side there is a 3,200 Pa suction motor, which creates negative pressure between the robot and the glass, ensuring stable adhesion to the vertical surface.
Movement is achieved through two rubber tracks, equipped with small integrated brushes that keep them clean during use, ensuring smooth and constant movement.
On the base we can also observe:
The dense microfiber cleaning cloth, although soft and effective, has a limited usable surface due to the large central opening required by the suction system.
At the corners there are four sensors with integrated rollers, essential for precise detection of window edges.

Spray and cleaning system
The WINBOT MINI integrates 4 spray nozzles (2 upper and 2 lower) with ultrasonic nebulization technology, capable of atomizing the detergent into 10-micron particles.
This solution allows uniform distribution of the liquid and reduced detergent consumption, while also reducing streak formation.
There is also an integrated speaker that provides voice messages in Italian regarding the robot’s operating status.

Intelligent sensors and safety
The robot integrates a 9-stage safety sensor system, including a gravitational acceleration sensor that constantly monitors orientation, and optocoupler sensors capable of detecting glass edges in about 0.02 seconds, adapting the cleaning path in real time.
Power is wired, with 3.5 meters of power cable and 3.3 meters of safety cable. The declared maximum power consumption is 90 W, but during normal use consumption is around 10–15 W. An emergency 3,000 mAh battery is present, keeping the robot attached to the glass for about 30 minutes in case of a blackout.
Adhesion is strong and stable, to the point that I also wanted to test it on frosted glass doors, bathroom ceramic walls, and kitchen backsplashes. The little one really sticks everywhere. These are not part of its normal use and would not make much sense, but it was a test to assess the level of safety and reliability. And safety also concerns the user side.

Window cleaning and usage
Usage is extremely simple and plug & play:
fill the tank with detergent
moisten and wring out the cloth
apply it to the base of the robot
press the power button and place the WINBOT MINI on the glass, pressing the start button
The robot automatically anchors itself and starts cleaning.
WIN-SLAM 3.0 technology allows planning the most efficient path by detecting window size and frame. Spray is managed automatically, and in the case of dirtier areas it can be controlled manually via the app, although it is preferable to start a deep cleaning cycle, which passes multiple times both horizontally and vertically and focuses more on the edges.
At the end of the cycle, the robot returns to the starting point. It can be paused or stopped either via the button or via the app.
The WINBOT MINI is also compatible with:
tilt-and-turn windows
frameless glass and glass doors
glass or plexiglass shower enclosures
mirrored doors and well-secured mirrors
smooth surfaces, including tiles
It is not suitable for irregular or curved glass, or for excessively inclined glass surfaces, where the robot will remind us to use it only on vertical surfaces.
App and package contents
The ECOVACS HOME app, available in Italian, allows:
Available modes are:
quick cleaning
deep cleaning (with edges)
full cleaning (double pass)
manual control like a remote
The package includes:

User experience
During use, the WINBOT MINI proves to be reliable, stable, and easy to use. Cleaning is fast and effective, with a speed of about 3 minutes per square meter in quick mode.
Windows are generally clean, with very few streaks and only slight moisture residues at the stopping point. Edge cleaning is good, though not perfect. The usefulness of the Winbot Mini is undeniable, especially on external surfaces that are difficult to reach, as it manages to remove dust, rain marks, and superficial dirt.
Noise level is around 63 dB, never annoying. The tank allows coverage of about 20 m² per refill.
Small preview
At the recent CES in Las Vegas, the Winbot MINI 2 was presented, improving aspects such as edge cleaning thanks to small TrueEdge side brushes that get within less than 1 mm of the edge. It is also equipped with the new WinSlam 4.0 technology and a new 8,000 Pa motor, and finally introduces the new spot cleaning function to focus on particularly dirty areas or clean only a small zone.
Final evaluation
ECOVACS WINBOT MINI is a well-built, safe window-cleaning robot designed for frequent maintenance of small glass surfaces. Overall, it is a product that performs best with regular use. Starting from windows already in good condition and using it as a maintenance tool, results remain consistent and satisfying over time. With very dirty surfaces, patience is required: cleaning quality improves progressively, but it should not be compared to a thorough manual wash. The price of 299 euros is not low in absolute terms, but it is aligned with the market and affordable. In return for concrete results and a good level of safety, it provides a sense of reliability that competing products do not always guarantee.
