What they are and why they are “Combo”
Both are wet&dry floor washers, meaning they vacuum dry dirt + liquids while washing, but in a 5-in-1 Combo version: in addition to the floor-washer body, they include a module and accessories that turn them into a real vacuum cleaner, equipped with a mini motorized brush, a multi-surface brush, and a wand with a 2-in-1 nozzle head. This flexibility is a key point of the Combo line, aimed at users looking for both solutions, gathered in a modular device.

Main similarities: meaning what you will have the same on both

Both versions feature the same basic performance and accessories:
Floor-washer performance and “one pass” philosophy
The floor washer aims to do “everything in one pass” by vacuuming both dry and wet dirt while washing, thanks to 20,000 Pa suction and 450 rpm of the roller, applying with the brush a downward pressure of 20N; this helps remove dry and stubborn dirt more easily.
In practice you get a complete and well-managed cleaning of floors without having to vacuum first.
Complete and powerful vacuum module
Once the motor/battery module is easily removed from the floor washer and inserted into the vacuum body, what we have in our hands is a device of real substance. It gains an extra gear in suction reaching 25,000PA and 120AW, the soft multi-surface brush adapts to different types of floors and carpets, since both versions have the same vacuum body the 560ml container capacity is identical. The same applies to the 5-stage filtration system with cyclonic technology; the manufacturer declares a filtration rate of 99.99%.
Edges and under furniture
Both floor washers ensure “edge-to-edge” cleaning of <1 mm, important around furniture and on baseboards, the FlatReach 2.0 technology allows both to lay flat at 180° developing a height of only 12.5 cm to slip under furniture and beds; moreover the clean water tank positioned low and the 70° swiveling head make it very maneuverable. A peculiar aspect of almost the entire F25 series (excluding the new F25 Ultra) is that it stays on when positioned vertically, so you can also use it in tight spaces like stairs.
Anti-tangle and hair management
The JawScrapers™ system is designed to reduce tangles and streaks: constant-pressure scraper + “blades” that intercept hair/threads and clean the roller evenly.
Self-cleaning and fast hot drying
Both versions perform self-cleaning of the roller at 90° with counter-rotation and multi-stage cleaning, and feature automatic fast drying in 5 minutes that also dries ducts and the filter, or alternatively a quieter mode in 30 minutes.
Runtime
In ECO mode, both declare:
60 min as a wet&dry floor washer
65 min as a stick vacuum cleaner

Differences: F25 Combo vs F25 Ace Combo

This is where the daily experience changes.
Detergent: manual vs automatic (Ace wins in convenience and efficiency)
F25 Ace Combo: has automatic detergent dispensing with a 100 ml detergent tank. The idea is that you fill the container and it doses the detergent by itself, promising up to 30 days of use before needing to refill it again; the duration changes based on detergent settings in the app.

F25 Combo: does not have an automatic dispenser, so detergent is managed “by hand” and added directly into the clean water tank when necessary.
Advanced maneuverability: SlideTech 2.0 (the Ace is more “assisted”)
On the F25 Ace Combo there is the SlideTech 2.0 wheel-assisted traction mechanism which in real use translates into smoother push/pull, with less effort especially on long sessions or when you zig-zag between chairs and tables, with assistance adjustable on 3 levels from the app.

App: basic vs more customization
Both support app control of advanced features, customization of washing modes and voice feedback in different languages, as well as the possibility of receiving OTA updates, but in comparison the Ace Combo highlights a higher level of customization and functions.

Water tanks
Clean water: F25 Combo 870 ml vs F25 Ace Combo 740 ml, which has to make room for the detergent container.

Dirty water: both 720 ml
So if you do many square meters and want to stop less often to refill, the F25 Combo has a small practical advantage.

Floor-washer weight
F25 Combo: 4.2 kg
F25 Ace Combo: 4.7 kg
The extra half kilo of the Ace is usually “felt” when you have to lift it or carry it up stairs, but in use it is offset by better movement assistance thanks to wheel traction.
“Green light” illumination and pro details
The green light on the head (to highlight fine dust) is available only on the multi-surface brush of the F25 Ace Combo.
In addition, on the Ace Combo there is the adaptive anti-tangle brush and an anti-tangle system also in the upholstery brush, not present on the standard Combo.

Two missing features of the Combo versions
Unlike the floor-washer-only versions (non combo) the F25 Combo and F25 Ace Combo do not have intelligent dirt detection (the one that automatically adjusts power based on dirt detected by the sensor). Also, in the Ace Combo version the possibility to maneuver the floor washer from the app once laid flat on the floor is missing, a solution I found convenient on the standard F25 Ace to guide it under beds without having to kneel down.
Which one to choose
Choose Roborock F25 Combo if:
- You want slightly more autonomy on the clean water side (870 ml)you want a lighter body (4.2 kg)
- You are looking for a more affordable combo product
- You are fine managing the detergent manually
Choose Roborock F25 Ace Combo if:
- You want maximum convenience: automatic detergent + SlideTech 2.0
- You care about the green light and a more “premium” equipment set
- You accept a slightly smaller clean water tank and slightly higher weight
Final considerations
Both F25 Combo and F25 Ace Combo share a solid technical base with high power (up to 20,000 Pa in floor-washer mode and 120 AirWatt in vacuum mode), excellent one-pass washing capability, effective management of hair and debris, careful edge cleaning, and great versatility thanks to the Combo concept. In terms of pure performance, it aims to be a single solution without compromises, also in a single purchase solution that has a list price of €649 for the F25 Combo and €749 for the Ace version, but they are often found at a strong discount.
The only compromise I feel to point out compared to having a separate vacuum cleaner and floor washer is that, sharing the same battery, you need a minimum of smart energy management if you have large spaces to clean and you use both modes in a single cleaning session.
The Roborock F25 Combo Series represent one of the smartest, simplest and most rational proposals currently available in the wet&dry floor washer segment with vacuum cleaner function.
