Complete comparison, real differences and which one to choose

Introduction
Tineco’s Steam range has evolved rapidly and today offers two models that are very similar on paper but different in experience: Tineco FLOOR ONE S9 Artist Steam and Tineco FLOOR ONE S7 Stretch Steam.
Both integrate powerful suction, continuous washing and steam sanitization at 160 °C. Both adopt the brand’s latest technical platform. Yet they are not the same machine.
Let’s see why.
UNBOXING S9 Artist Steam Pro
UNBOXING S7 Stretch Steam
Tineco FLOOR ONE S9 Artist Steam Pro
The Steam platform in its most advanced form
The FLOOR ONE S9 Artist Steam Pro represents the current highest expression of Tineco’s Steam technology. It is not simply a floor washer with a steam function, but a product that integrates the best Tineco technologies into an evolved structure strongly focused on design and smart experience.
Suction reaches 22,000 Pa, a value that allows it to safely handle mixed dirt, liquid residues and large solid particles. The roller works with 720° bidirectional rotation, improving contact distribution on the floor and increasing effectiveness in dirt removal.
The heart of the system is HyperSteam technology at 160 °C, which allows stains and grease to be dissolved without the use of chemical detergents. Steam generation time is fast, about 45-60 seconds, and management is integrated into the iLoop logic, which automatically adjusts suction and water flow.
The platform includes:
MHCBS continuous roller washing system
3-chamber dirty water separation
DualBlock anti-tangle system
ReverseScrub Technology
Three-sided edge cleaning
The 180° LifeLift system allows the machine body to fully recline to pass under low furniture, beds and sofas. In the reclined position, the minimum height is about 13 cm, allowing cleaning under furniture that is normally difficult to reach. Power is slightly adjusted in this configuration to avoid backflow toward the filter, but remains effective.
The smart experience is what distinguishes the S9: app connection, firmware updates, customizable modes, two additional configurable profiles and traction adjustment. The IMD 3D display and dynamic lighting complete a modern and more refined interface compared to its smaller sibling.
Battery life ranges between 75 and 90 minutes in standard mode, about 30 minutes in Steam mode. The enhanced FlashDry system includes heated water washing and roller drying at 85 °C in about 5 minutes, with an optional 40-minute quiet mode.
The S9 Artist Steam Pro is therefore the most complete, configurable and technologically refined version of the Steam platform.

Tineco FLOOR ONE S7 Stretch Steam
Technical substance in a more immediate and lighter form
The FLOOR ONE S7 Stretch Steam shares the same technical base as the S9 but presents itself as a more direct, lighter and more immediate version.
Here too we find 22,000 Pa suction, HyperSteam at 160 °C, 720° rotation, DualBlock anti-tangle system, MHCBS and 3-chamber water separation system. Cleaning performance is substantially comparable.
The 180° LifeLift system is also present here, with a reclined height of around 13 cm, allowing access under low furniture with good maneuverability. Power management in horizontal position follows the same filter protection logic.
The main difference lies in the approach: the S7 Stretch Steam does not connect to the app, does not allow advanced customization or firmware updates. The interface is simpler, the display traditional and the design more functional than refined.
An important element is the lower weight compared to the S9. This affects real maneuverability, especially in multi-level environments or when it is necessary to lift the machine frequently. Motorized wheels assist movement in reverse.
Declared battery life up to 80 minutes in standard mode, about 30 minutes in Steam mode.
The S7 Stretch Steam therefore represents the more rational and economical declination of the Steam platform.

Inside ReverseScrub technology with 720° rotation
When we read “720° rotation” in the specifications, the risk is to file it away as a brochure number. In reality, it is one of the most interesting elements of the technical platform of S7 Stretch Steam and S9 Artist Steam Pro.
The roller does not simply rotate forward as happens in systems of other floor washers. It works bidirectionally, alternating forward and backward rotation. The reference to 720 degrees indicates that, in one cycle, the surface of the roller completes two full rotations, one in each direction.
This has a very concrete effect on cleaning because each portion of microfiber comes into contact with the floor multiple times and at different angles. The result is not just a “double pass”, but greater mechanical action on dirt. When the roller spins forward it helps distribute clean water and begin loosening dirt. When it reverses, it performs a second scrubbing action.
This alternating movement especially improves management of dry dirt and grease traces in the kitchen. From a mechanical point of view, the advantage also lies in wear distribution. The fiber does not always work in the same direction and on the same point, but alternates load. This helps maintain more consistent performance over time.
Combined with the MHCBS continuous washing system, which constantly rinses the roller with clean water, combs it and cleans it, bidirectional rotation helps avoid multiple passes, typical of less advanced systems.
In daily practice this translates into less need to go over the same area multiple times. Especially in Steam mode, where steam softens dirt, the forward-backward roller movement increases mechanical detachment efficiency, making the pass more incisive without requiring greater effort from the user.
It is a technical detail that does not change practical use of the machine, but changes the way it works on the floor. And in products like S7 Stretch Steam and S9 Artist Steam Pro, which share this platform, it is one of the elements that contributes to the feeling of more uniform and “deeper” cleaning.

Inside HyperSteam technology at 160 °C
When reading that the S7 Stretch Steam and the S9 Artist Steam Pro operate with steam at 160 °C, it is easy to imagine an extremely aggressive jet hitting the floor at that temperature. In reality, that is not the case.
The 160 °C represents the maximum temperature reached inside the boiler, namely during the phase in which water is transformed into steam. It is a value that indicates the device’s ability to generate high-energy steam, but it does not coincide with the temperature that actually reaches the surface.
From real checks, the outlet air temperature is around 98-99 °C, and this is a fundamental aspect.
A temperature around 99 °C is still very high and more than sufficient to dissolve grease, encrustations, organic residues and contribute to surface sanitization. But it is not an extreme or damaging temperature for surfaces.
And it is precisely this balance that allows these machines to offer effective sanitization on hard surfaces such as porcelain stoneware and tiles, while at the same time remaining usable, with proper care, even on more delicate floors.

Final verdict
The Tineco FLOOR ONE S9 Artist Steam Pro and the Tineco FLOOR ONE S7 Stretch Steam share a very similar technical platform. From a purely cleaning standpoint, they are extremely close. Steam mode battery life, about 30 minutes, is also aligned.
The real difference is not so much in the result on the floor as in positioning, experience and price.
The S7 Stretch Steam has a list price of 699 euros. It is lighter, more immediate, does not require configurations, does not connect to the app and does not provide firmware updates. It is a concrete, powerful and rational machine. It offers practically the same effectiveness as the S9 but with a simpler and more direct approach. It is the ideal choice for those who want advanced technology without entering the world of smart customization and without facing the cost of the top version.
The S9 Artist Steam Pro has a list price of 849 euros. Here the extra cost is not justified so much by superior power, but by a superior experience. App connection, configurable modes, firmware updates, traction adjustment, larger tanks and a more evolved interface. But above all, design.
The S9 is clearly designed with greater aesthetic attention. The finishes, the IMD 3D display, the dynamic Aurora AI lights and the overall lines make it not only a cleaning tool, but also an object to display as a furnishing element. Those looking for a product that is not only functional but also visually refined will find something more in the S9. It is a machine that, even when charging on its base, communicates a certain level of refinement.
