OnePlus officially gives up on the US and Europe

According to recent reports, OPPO has confirmed during a media briefing that OnePlus will stop launching new products in the US and European markets, while continuing operations in China and India. Existing users are expected to keep receiving after-sales support, warranty service, and software updates.

If this move fully plays out, it feels like more than just another brand leaving a few regions. It feels like the closing of a chapter in Android history.

OnePlus used to stand for something very specific: high performance, clean software, aggressive pricing, and a strong enthusiast community. For many Android fans, buying a OnePlus phone was almost a statement. It meant you cared about specs, speed, value, and not simply following Apple or Samsung.

In China, Realme is shutting down operations, while OnePlus and Oppo remain.
In Europe and Spain, OnePlus is shutting down operations, while Realme and Oppo remain.
Realme UI—Realme’s custom interface—is being discontinued and merged with Oppo’s ColorOS. Realme users will be able to voluntarily upgrade to ColorOS, although there is no confirmation yet on which model ranges will receive this update.
Commitments regarding support and updates for devices already sold remain in effect for both brands.

Talvez Oneplus busque un nuevo enfoque en sus dispositivos o algo más al alejarse de OPPO y ser una marca Auto dependiente y local en China
