  • What feature would you buy or recommend to your female friends in a phone

Xiaomi has just launched its Xiaomi Civi 4 Pro Disney Princess Edition, featuring a purple back with shifting colors and the iconic Magic Mirror. Curious about who would be interested in this product and why, I quickly consulted with my colleague.

Surprisingly, my female colleague found the mirror feature intriguing but declared it a ‘no-buy’—perhaps she’s not feeling the Disney Princess vibe, or we’re just not in the target age bracket! On the other hand, my male colleague liked it a lot and gave high praise to the product designer. Additionally, I came across some humorous comments from users, with some suggesting they might buy the smartphone just to smash the mirror

Meanwhile, rival brand vivo introduces the X Flip, a game-changer in the smartphone world. It boasts a built-in soft light makeup mirror function, offering users an experience reminiscent of a high-end physical makeup box. With its unique dual-screen design, the upper half serves as a clear mirror while the lower half is equipped with a variety of makeup application tools.

I have a female friend who is thrilled about this feature. As for me, the appeal lies in its resemblance to a makeup compact and the satisfying “ba” sound when closing it – reminiscent of scenes from classic movies where heroines prepare for action. It brings to mind Taylor Swift’s empowering anthems, making this device not just functional but also evocative.

I’m impressed by how well these products understand their users. Take my money already!

What standout feature would you buy or recommend to your female friends in a phone?

Ivyisme I think the mirror on the Xiaomi Civi is more of a publicity stunt with the model based on a movie, having the selfie camera, why do you want a mirror? As for the vivo x flip, I like the idea that it is foldable. I normally only advise a female on the color of the back.

@“Menguelez”#p12272Lol, you never know how often women check their reflection. I’ve seen friends use their computer screen as a mirror when the background is dark enough to reflect. I rarely use the selfie camera to check my smile; I usually rely on my phone’s front screen. However, after applying an Anti-Spy Screen Protector, I find myself needing a mirror:)

I would recommend going off of whatever color you like and feature preference.

JoshTorrZ Exactly, They truly understand the target audience and know how to encourage users to willingly spend their money. Without the special edition, I’m not a big fan of Xiaomi, as I’m accustomed to the iPhone system. It would be challenging for me to switch unless it convinces me to overcome this habit.

I would recommend ease of use and a good camera. Being able to understand how to use the device and how to take a quality photo for social media purposes!
