I have mixed thoughts about self driving vehicles. On one end they could cause a lot of people to lose their jobs, like truck drivers, Uber/Food drivers and many more. On the other end, it could help those that are unable to drive get behind the wheel to get where they need to go without bus or grab a nap if feeling tired behind the wheel or even keep congested roads clear, plus much more.
For me, I’m a bit excited, I wouldn’t mind owning a self driving vehicle and it would be nice to not have to buy electric until the self driving is solidly built in.
There is a lot to improve and still have a ways to go with self driving tech but it’s coming and seeing more and more each day, such as General Motors’ Super Cruise and you can find many more examples online. Personally, I’ve been seeing a lot about the super cruise in the Chevy Bolt. At this point in the stage it’s like perfecting the lane keep assist within the vehicles and like most articles will tell you, at first humans will need to remain alert as back up which shouldn’t be much of a problem.
