These true wireless buds may seem old, but now that they’re priced at around 45€, it feels like a great deal to me
Build quality and external impression 4.5/5
The case is sturdy, it has like a rubberized matte finish but still fit great in pockets, because it’s comparable to the airpods in size, and also the hinge is very nice and even after lots of drops, the spring does still keep it opened.
The buds also have a nice design and proved to be very resistand to drops and are also ipx5 certified (a bit of water resistance but not immersion)
Ear comfort and seal ⅘
Soundcore offers many more rubber seals for most of their buds, so even if you have a mid-sized ear like between an S and a M rubber seal you can find the one that fits you
This contributes to great soundproofing even without ANC and high max volume and a lot of bass frequencies.
The only real drawback it’s their size, bevause it doesn’t let you lay on a side of the head while you’re using them
Sound quality 4.5/5
Sound quality is great for the average consumer and some compared them to the airpods pro, but the lack of Actve noise cancelling puts them in different categories.
I say “for the average consumer” because they come standard with a noticeable V shaped curve sound (lots of bass and highs) while still maintaining great details (also tanks to tbe APTX codec)
And mostly improtant the official app lets you equalize them as you want, without artifacts typical of third party equalizers
Connection and latency ⅘
Connection it’s fast and reliable from both the buds (both can be the main one) and the latency it’s ok for videos and music and they sync well but are not low latency at all
Call quality ⅗
Ti be honest, I hate making calls on any bluethooth earbuds, because of tbe codec that makes everything sound boxy and compressed, but it’s not like even airpods or samsung best buds are any better, but even a cheap random pair of cabled earphones will sound much better, so I’ll just tell you that the noise canceling with 4 mics works decently well, but nothing too crazy
Battery and charging 4.5/5
The buds last around 6.5/7 hours of continuous use and the case gives them almost 3 full charges, so battery life is good.
Charging is also fast with a full charge of the case with the buds in an hourw with the cable, and they also charge wirelessly but a bit slower
App and functionality
The soundcore app is great and works well, it lets the user customise the touch controls (which are very sensistive) as you want, tells you individual state of charging of the buds, and gives you ton of equalising profiles made by professionals or classic presets, ans there’s also Hear ID that will make you do a short hearing test and customize the sound for your ears
Conclusion 4.5/5
For 45 euros they really should be considered, as the only real drawback is the lack of ANC
But they have wireless charging APTX codec and a very well done app, features that many 40 to 80 euros buds still don’t have
