AGM Glory G1S
The Design
The AGM Glory body is made of Bayer Soft Rubber. front is equipped with a 6.53-inch screen with a resolution of 2340×1080 water-drop display are protected by Corning Gorilla Glass with pre-installed screen protector. it is nice to see a 1080 Full HD Rugged Phone, as most of the Rugged Phone in the market with 720HD only. on top of the water-drop screen is a earpiece which surrounded by orange rubber strip, the rubber strip is 0.3mm higher than the screen to give the screen extra buffer. The back of the fuselage adopts Aramid-like design. The camera adopts a 4-camera solution, including 48MP main camera + 2MP macro + 20MP infrared night vision + thermal imaging. The arrangement of camera modules is relatively symmetrical, and it also looks very outstanding. Below the camera module is a fingerprint scanner. The fingerprint scanner is well function, but the location is a bit low, my finger is a bit difficult to touch it. The left side of the fuselage integrated Sim card slot which supports dual SIM or one SIM, one sd card. you can added up to 512GB. and below is a custom quick-launch button. you can set any app which is installed in your device. The right side is the volume adjustment button and the power button.a laser pointer on the top of the fuselage. A type-C charging port and 3.5mm audio jack port are mounted at the bottom and is covered by a piece of rubber cover. the phone are IP68、IP69K、810H certified. The dimensions of the phone is 172.8mm x 82.8mm x 18.4mm and is 315g weight. it is actually one of a light weight phone in rugged phone category with similar specs.
Hardware & software Performance
The AGM G1S is powered by a Qualcomm 480 5G processor, 8nm Octa-core CPU up to 2.0 Ghz, Adreno 619 GPU and is based on Android 11. The mobile phone has 8GB of memory and 128GB of built-in storage. There is no problem with running multiple software in the background.
Connectivity
5G is currently only being tested in selected areas of Malaysia. So I can only test 4G performance. I inserted 2 sim cards, both have full bar 4G signals and the comminication experience with the person of the other end of the phone are very clear through both the phone’s earpiece and loudspeaker. the download, upload speed and stability of mobile data is very promising as well.
WIFI/Bluetooth/NFC/Location
supports 5GHz WIFI connection, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC. and support GPS, A-GPS, GLONASS, Galileo and Beidou Dual frequency GNSS system navigations.
Battery and Charging
AGM G1S Pro uses a 5500mAh high-capacity battery, which can be used for one day at high intensity. If it is used moderate intensity, it is no problem for lasting two days , and the standby battery life is even longer.
Sound Quality
The speaker is mounted at the top right of back of the phone, sound quality are enough for occasionally use.
Gaming
I test playing Pubg and Asphalt 9, both running smooth with decent screen colors and fine quality graphic, since is it a 1080p display.
Camera
The 48MP auto-focus main camera produces excellent photos with plenty of detail and decent colour when in good light environment and is struggle with noise as light levels is low, like most of the mid-range phones. 2MP macro camera are great for close-up shots. 16MP front camera produces decent selfie photo but the portrait photo are not good. The camera Al system can auto detect the environments and objects in order to help you to shoot a more vibrant and vivid photo.it support underwater photo shooting too. The main sensor can also capture 1080K video at 30fps, but no optical image stabilization.

20MP Night vision Camera
Infrared night vision cameras are mainly used in dark environments without visible light or low light, using infrared emission devices to actively project infrared light onto objects, and the infrared light is reflected by objects and then enters the lens for imaging. This is very useful if you like wild adventures. and it can shooting both photo and video.
Thermal Imaging
Thermal imaging resolution is 256×192 with 25 Hz Frame Rate. it is a useful for emergency troubleshooting & distant search, house inspection for safety & power saving spot out the damage or error areas.
Laser-Pointer
Equipped a far ranging laser pointer on top of the phone for you to point to the area that hands can’t get to. this is very useful for construction work. or you can use it to play with cat.
Conclusion
The AGM Glory G1S is for people with specific work which need thermal imager and laser pointer. for a normal people who need rugged phone, there is many other options.
