Which one you think is the future, VR or AR?

The future of tech now has split into two directions, there are manufacturers trying to use glasses to make reality intractable on your phone.

There are also thoughts to create an alternative reality in the cyber space using virtual reality headsets.

In your opinion which would be the next big thing?

SprintingWorm I think VR. Will be Meta division responsible to built the metaverse. They are working on headsets etc then I think virtual reallity

SprintingWorm I would say voth of them, because I think VR has more of an entertainment purpose, while AR has already lot’s of different practical uses, like the simplest one on amazon, where now you can see in AR a TV or forniture to understand of they fit well

SprintingWorm Personally I think it will be AR because for it to truly take off and become a mass market device, it needs to be seamless and something that the user can just pickup and start using seamlessly without pausing their lives. VR requires people to stop what they’re to completely concentrate on whatever they want to do. AR can be worn and used throughout the day, much like a smartphone. There’s little “extra” the user needs to do.

That’s why I think VR will always be niche or enterprise focused and not really take off for the mass market.

I agree with di_lorenzo. AR has a plethora of more practical applications even though it is quite complex to implement. But I feel it’s way cooler than VR.
