Battery draining when power is off

Hi. I have also emailed technical support but wanted to see if anyone else had any ideas. I have been using my projector for a few days and I am very impressed, but one fairly important issue is that the battery seems to drain quite quickly even when the power is turned off.

It seems to take about 24 hours (with power off) for the battery to drain totally.

Obviously the mobility of the projector is one of the reasons I like it so it would be great if someone could help me work out what the problem is. Or is it just a faulty unit?

Hi! I can confirm that the battery drains very quickly. I mentioned it int the survey they kindly asked me to fill.

Apart from this, great device!

Hi both, interesting…sounds like this is clearly an issue? I am having some back and forth with the technical team via the support email but not sure they are fully understanding the problem. Hopefully they will be able to advise.

If it helps apparently there are two states of “shutdown” - the long-press on the power button shuts it down fully. However this has only slowed the rate of the battery drain. If I “fully” shut the device down it probably take 3-4 days to drain (rather than 24 hours in “standby” mode). Obviously this is still not very good really. I hope we can resolve it as otherwise it is such a great piece of kit!

It’s necessary to explain that there are two ways to turn off the project: 😀
1. Long press the shutdown button on the top of the project, the project will be completely shut down, and it will not consume power.
2. Use the remote control to turn off the project: the project will enter the standby state, and it will consume power.

Noted that if you use the remote control to turn off the project, it is normal to drain the battery in a short time.

Thanks, I’ll try the long press mode to save battery. But no, it is not normal to drain the battery in a short time in standby mode, at leas not as fast as it’s doing now. And one should be able to completely shut down even via remote control(on screen menu.

Maybe in a future OS update it will be available :)

I’d like to be able to solve the issue, but is contacting the support leading to some solution?
