Overview
The Eureka J15 Pro Ultra has really lived up to the fairy tale potential in many ways. With its 16,200 Pa suction, 8-in-1 multifunctional base, and powerful AI, it promises the kind of cleanliness that only a fairy godmother could provide. With a price tag of €1,099, the Eureka J15 Pro Ultra positions itself among top-of-the-line robot vacuums, and though that figure could startle anyone, it’s a powerful machine with Cinderella-like aspirations—minus the pumpkins and glass slippers. Here’s how my experience with this gadget unfolded and why it almost swept me off my feet.
Specs Spotlight
This robot is quite the heavyweight in features. It has a striking 16,200 Pa suction power, one of the highest for its class, paired with advanced navigation tools like LDS (laser distance sensor) and IntelliView™ AI for obstacle avoidance. There’s also a smart 8-in-1 docking station that takes on automatic mop cleaning, drying, and refilling, making the J15 feel like a complete housecleaning companion. Not to mention the robot double up as a security camera you can send out patrolling anytime.
Setup, Integration, and a Little “House Prep”
Setting up the J15 was smooth, and thanks to its LIDAR and RGB camera navigation, it quickly drew up a map of my place with impressive precision. In just a few clicks, I could sync it with Alexa (though I admit, I don’t use that feature as often).
Mop Auto-Washing
This machine’s mop-washing feature is impressive and keeps my floors cleaner, but it can be a tad overenthusiastic – triggered both by real spills and by marble patterns! Watching it dash to wash after every spill it “sees” is endearing yet a little excessive for my taste. I’m hoping the AI learns more about marble floors.
Set-Up Woes: What Cinderella Didn’t Tell You
Out of the box, the J15 feels very premium. However, with my 140-square-meter apartment and marble sawn floors straigth from the ’70s, this gadget’s AI struggled slightly. The marble’s natural stains often get confused for liquid spills, leading it to automatically scurry back to wash its mops far more often than I’d like.
And while its “stay out of trouble” programming tries to avoid mishaps, it occasionally needs a helping hand to prep the house: during the couple of weeks of my current tests, it managed to shut itself in the bathroom, get stuck with rogue cables, and generally found new ways to test my patience (or sense of humor) each time I tried to run it unsupervised.
Daily Performance: Mighty Yet Methodical
Battery Life: Impressive. It has yet to run out of juice on my floor plan.
Cleaning Power: Its power is excellent for my floor type, though I haven’t been able to test it on parquet.
Noise Level: The 73 dB volume is manageable, but the noise level doesn’t go unnoticed. Its “headlights” make nighttime mopping quite a spectacle, though!
Mapping and Modes: Room selection, rectangular cleaning zones, adjustable water levels—it’s highly versatile. Lidar and cameras create an accurate map, and feedback on detection helps the AI “learn.”
Kid Appeal and Quirky Drawbacks
Noise is reasonable, but enough that my child’s relationship with the J15 is a mix of fascination and fright. To better clean in the corners it raises and extends one “paw”; when it cleans in dim light, it even turns on headlights, adding an adventurous twist and making it seem alive in a way that’s part endearing, part spooky.
I am considering add a funny sticker to add to its personality!
Polished Performance, But Mind the Bumps
While the J15 is highly competent, its height keeps it from reaching under my bed or a few low cabinets in the kitchen. For €1,099, a few more bags for dirt disposal would be appreciated—there’s only one in the box, so replacements could add up over time.

Final Thoughts
After three tries at getting the house cleaned while we were out, the J15 and I both learned a few things. The mop-wash-and-dry function wins hands-down. This feature alone saves you from the usual mop-smell, a feature that ultimately won me over from my previous vacuum-mop combo (see Osotek H200 review).
For anyone considering the J15 Pro Ultra, it’s worth knowing it has plenty of potential and a solid start. Just be ready to play fairy godmother and guide this Cinderella through a few household lessons!
