Pixel 9: Buy Now or Wait?

Hi everyone,

I’ve been a Pixel user for years now, and l’m a big fan of the lineup. I started with the Pixel 3a and then upgraded to the Pixel 6. Now, I’m thinking about getting the Pixel 9, but part of me wonders if I should wait for the Pixel 10 instead.

I’ve also been considering switching to an iPhone, but keep coming back to the Pixel because of its exclusive features that I really enjoy.

What do you think? For those who already have the Pixel 9, is it worth the upgrade, or is it better to hold off and see what the next model brings?

LoicNgt in my opinion it depends of the price. Maybe pixel 9 at cool price it would be a great purchase. Also Pixel 10 may be in the market in oct/2025… time to wait and think

Also the Pixel 9a will be released in March 2025 so you can wait to the price it could drop lower

I think that in order to better answer that question, I would have to ask you another question. What cell phone do you currently have? That will depend on whether it is worth changing or waiting a little longer.

Franco_glz That’s true, but I prefer buying my phone at launch because there are often great trade-in offers, plus they usually include the watch or earbuds as a bonus.

EniacLoona I currently have a Pixel 6, but recently broke the screen. I’ve been considering changing it, especially since the Black Friday deals are also catching my eye but I’m not sure.

Considering that there is a year left until the release of pixel 10 and that your cell phone is already damaged, I think it is a good option, especially if you are going to buy the “Pro” version and you are coming from the basic version of 6.

Now, another option is to look for a cell phone from another brand that, for the same price or less, offers you the same or better features. I would have these in my sights:

Samsung s24 basic
Realme Gt6
Oppo find x7 if they distribute it in your country
Honor Magic 6 pro
VIVO x100s
