I’ve had numerous smartwatches and smart band including but not limited to:
- various Jawbone
- various Fitbit (versa, sense, charge, charge HR, …)
- AppleWatch
- Xiaomi band 5
- various less relevant band
and currently I use a ScanWatch 42mm (I also have a 38mm at home and tested the steel HR).
That alone should say what I think about this device!
The important* specs for this device include:
- Heartbeat monitoring (medical grade)
- SpO2 monitoring (medical grade)
- ECG available (medical grade)
- 10-15-20 days of battery life (I lost count)
- Notifications, Alarms, clock etc.
Basically it does everything it has to do without adding anything fancy. Medically it does it the proper way (it is certified).
It does not have a color LCD screen
That is the most relevant thing. If you like the apple watch or any other smart watch than this device is not for you.
It does far less than any of the competitors! It does not display pictures, you cannot answer calls, you cannot play games or install apps.
So why I use it and think it is the best smart watch around??
The answer is very simple: The ScanWatch IS a SMART WATCH .. first it is a watch and then it is smart; not the other way round. So if you like watches that may be a great option.
