In my journey to create a smarter home, Alexa has become my go-to assistant. From controlling my lights with Philips Hue smart bulbs to automating appliances with TP-Link smart plugs, it feels like living in the future.
One of my favorite setups is using routines: I say “Good Night,” and Alexa turns off the lights, locks the doors (thanks to my August Smart Lock), and lowers the thermostat via my Nest Thermostat. It’s seamless and incredibly satisfying.
For anyone diving into smart home tech, I’d recommend starting small with a smart plug or a light bulb and expanding from there.
