So, I’m a huge fan of compact smartphones, so much so that I can let go of my iPhone 13 Mini. But the hard part is that I tend to prefer Android over iOS, which means that there are VERY few options when it comes to compact phones.
I was able to find one though that seems to be a fairly decent option. It’s the Unihertz Jelly Star. This is the 3rd or 4th version of their Jelly phone and they have made a name for themselves making unique phones to specific audiences.
With only a 3-inch screen, I think it’d be hard to use this phone as a daily driver, but it might work really well as a secondary or weekend device. It sounds like it’d be great as a minimalist phone to help detox a bit while still letting you do whatever you need to if you really get in a bind.
They just announced the Kickstarter campaign for it to kick off on June 13th and you can check it out here.
What do you think? Would you want to try out a smartphone like this? Do you think it’d actually be useful?
