The BlackShark Green Ghost offers numerous features that many people might find useful, just like I did. One of the standout features right out of the box is its ability to connect the controller via a USB-C cable or a dongle. This is an exceptional feature because not many controllers provide this option. The dongle offers a 2.4 GHz connection, enabling you to connect the controller to your PC, Nintendo Switch, iOS device, or Android device. However, please note that this controller is not compatible with Xbox.
The controller also comes with a downloadable app that allows you to further customize your controller. You can adjust the dead zones of the joysticks, remap your buttons, adjust trigger sensitivity, and create macros. Although the initial loading of the app is in a different language, it automatically switches to English once you run it. Get ready to light up your gaming experience! The controller features two RGB lights located on the top right and top left. It would have been better if the lighting was distributed throughout the controller instead of being confined to just the top left and right.
Another cool feature is the ability to have wireless audio, but this requires a wired headset to be connected to the controller. However, the controller can be used wirelessly via the dongle, allowing you to listen to in-game audio.
The controller also comes with three sets of joysticks, each with three different heights. This customization option allows you to tailor the joysticks to your preferences and gaming style. It’s a fantastic feature for this controller. Not only can you customize the joysticks, but it also includes two different styles of d-pads, making fighting games a breeze.
The triggers are Hall effect, which means it has no moving parts internally. Everything is magnetically controlled, eliminating the need for switches. Additionally, it features shortstop switches on the back of the controller, allowing you to switch your trigger pulls from a short pull to a regular pull. This controller goes beyond the standard two trigger buttons, providing two additional shoulder buttons and two buttons located on the bottom. This comprehensive design enables you to fully customize your gaming experience by mapping buttons to your preferences.
In my opinion, this controller is an excellent choice and offers great value for money. It’s versatile and can be connected to multiple devices using either a dongle or a USB type C cable.
