I have tested the headphones in different situations: listening to music, as hands-free for my phone, in video calls, doing sports, etc. and the main conclusion I have come to is that they are my new all-round headphones that accompany me throughout the day.
They are a very nice headset, built with good materials that give a feeling of durability and reliability. The case has good dimensions and is sturdy and comfortable to wear. But I will probably buy the case with built-in battery for that extra peace of mind that you have battery life for the whole week.
The initial set up is very easy. They connect perfectly with my smartphone and my laptop. In a week of use I haven’t had any connection dropouts or difficulty switching between one device and another.
The sound quality is very good for both playing music and listening to podcasts. Despite being external to the ear you can hear the nuances of the music well and the volume is good. In noisier environments such as the subway you have to turn up the volume quite a bit, but you can still hear it well.
In terms of ergonomics, the first sensation is strange. You feel that you have something over the ear, but not touching the inside is a feeling that you have to get used to, something that is done in a very short time. I’ve tried them running and working out at the gym and they don’t move. The fit is perfect.
The fact that they are over-ear for me is a plus. I often run at night (before dawn or in the evening) and sometimes I went without music because the in-ear headphones isolated me too much, even though they have a “hearthrough” function. The same thing happens at work, where I want to listen to music but without isolating myself from the environment to listen to my colleagues.
The battery life is impressive compared to other true Wireless headphones. With a non-continuous use they can last 3-4 days without any problem. I have not had the opportunity to use them continuously 16 hours to see if that is the real capacity of the battery, but it has to be very close.
The touch controls are easy to use and responsive. It comes with some predefined actions that can be modified through the mobile app. It supports 1-touch, 2-touch, 3-touch and swipe up and down gestures. And they can be different actions for each earpiece.
The only flaw I have is that they can’t be connected to two devices at the same time, although the change of disconnecting one and connecting another is quick.
All in all, unless you want headphones that isolate you from your surroundings, these are your perfect headphones for any day-to-day situation.
