To be honest, I didn’t really know the brand, but when I looked up the specs for the Meizu 22, I was impressed. They have high-end specs, and I’d have to check the prices they’re offering to see how promising it really is

David_P I‘m quite familiar with this brand because my first touch - screen mobile phone was a MEIZU, a gift from my father, who is a die - hard fan of this brand. I hadn’t heard much about MEIZU for a long time until last year, when the company was acquired by a car company. Subsequently, last year they launched the MEIZU 21 and AR Glasses. Moreover, MEIZU has had some notable interactions with Qualcomm.

Ivyisme Meizu is a brand that has popped up in my news stream multiple times and years ago. It always felt like bang-for-buck was great, but since there was no availability here, I never risked importing one. It feels like the brand matured well, though.

David_P My first MEIZU was the MX2. At the time, iPhones were too expensive, and the MEIZU’s design and price were appealing. It worked well initially, but started crashing after two years. In 2015, I switched to Apple, starting with the iPhone 6s, then the 12 Pro, and now the 16 Pro Max.

When I got a MEIZU 21 sample last year, I showed it to my father. He’s a huge fan and was instantly eager to buy it. 😂

Ivyisme Android phones from those times usually lasted only two years. Nowadays, a mid-range Android can get updates for up to five years, and the materials have become more durable. We’ll have to see if the phones from this brand can be competitive with the new mid-range and high-end standards. And also wait to see if they arrive in my country 😅
