Hi Heyuppers,
This is the first time I use a Nothing device, I had heard about it but I had never had the chance to test it, here in Italy the Nothing brand is not so popular yet.
First of all I would like to tell you my first impression when I received the package. Initially the packaging seemed very simple to me, not reflecting the value of the object, which currently here costs around € 350.00, but then I really changed my mind. When I opened the first box inside I found a very nice container with the upper part embossed with the Nothing style. Inside the container on the left I found the printed thanks from the brand for the purchase and on the right the smartphone elegantly wrapped in paper and contained in a tray. Lifting the tray I found the USB cable, the clip for opening the SIM tray in particular style and the safety information & warranty information leaflet with the QR code to access the quick start guide.

As soon as I took the smartphone in my hand I had a pleasant feeling of complicity and solidity, the slightly gripped lateral side gave me confidence in not slipping out of my hand.
I really liked the flat display without rounded edges and the very particular back with the cameras positioned horizontally instead of vertically, as we usually find in other brands, the 3 LED lights that can be set with the Glyph Interface and the transparent display of some internal circuits is very nice.

Once turned on, the configuration is very simple and intuitive.
In these days of testing I used the smartphone much more than I usually use it and I really liked it, feeling it fluid and responsive in all the operations I did, from making phone calls, reading emails, playing games, taking photos and recording videos.
I had a lot of fun grouping and configuring the icons in Nothing style and I must say that in addition to being visually appealing, grouped in the large size they are very useful.

As for the battery life, I am satisfied, it has a power of 5000mAh and as I wrote before, I stressed the smartphone a little more than normal use and with a full charge I got to the end of the day with a residual of about 40%. I have been able to see that with normal use with a 100% charge I can easily reach the end of the third day with a residual charge of 30%.

Very fast charging from 0% to 100% in about an hour with the device on.
Let’s now move on to using the camera: I took photos both with the basic setting (12mp) and at 50mp and I was very satisfied, perhaps it is a little lacking when we zoom in with the macro camera.
It has Night mode, Portrait and photos with Slow motion, Timelapse, Panoramic photo. Obviously timer, flash, movement photos, quality setting between 12mp and 50mp and the very useful HDR.
Even the video quality with audio is good both at 1080p and 4k

The phone has a 6.77” AMOLED screen, the brightness and dynamism of the display can be adapted to my needs from the general settings such as the theme if light or dark. Widgets can be enabled, even if the choice is not wide, some are very nice such as the analog clock, the calendar, the weather and the countdown, which can be set both on the lock screen and on the home screen.
Another thing that I liked was the possibility of setting the RAM memory to my liking, obviously I immediately set it to 8GB, but if you have space problems it can be reduced to 2gb.

Another innovative note is the second smaller button on the right lateral side, the new Essential Key that opens the Essential Space that helps you by automatically organizing, generating suggestions and personalized actions using the integrated AI.
Unfortunately it does not support an additional SD card. However we can find it on sale with two memory options, one of 128GB and the other of 256GB, I tested that 128GB.

Well, after all this. what is my opinion?
I am really happy to have tested this smartphone, honestly before the test I would not have considered the option of buying it but after the test I am sure that I will also recommend it to friends. As I wrote at the beginning in our country Nothing is not a famous brand but I am sure that with the excellent qualities that I found, it will be able to conquer its deserved space in the medium-high smartphone range very soon.
I was pleasantly surprised by some of its unique features that I appreciate a lot. I love brands that want to stand out from the others!
I thank @heyup for giving me the opportunity to get to know this brand.
