What do you think about the Nintendo Switch 2?

Hi! I worked for Nintendo as a Nintendo Switch 2 promoter, so I had to deal with the new Nintendo console. Talking about the pieces themselves, the new Joycons 2 are incredibly more resistant and solid, like the magnetic attachment. The screen is LCD, but you can clearly notice the difference between this and a 2017 one: it’s very fluid, it has vivid colors (powered by HDR) and I think it is a significant upgrade. Also the power is an upgrade, because they could fit more of it inside a little bit larger tablet, who can almost compete with the most recent console generation. I appreciated the features they added, like the built in mic, the usb-c to connect a Camera and the new pretty solid Stand. Regarding storage, 256gb is a significant upgrade since the games will take more space. GameShare and GameChat functionalities are very good to be integrated in a console like this! Hope to get one to test more by myself and provide a very good feddback! Let me know what you think about Switch 2!

EnricoDazzan I’m genuinely curious about it, but I think there are some product decisions that have me wondering if waiting for a Switch 2.5 might not be the better choice:

Battery life. It’s worse than the original model, especially in top tier games
LCD display. Sure it’s much better than the original one, but still no OLED.
Something I just found out, the lack of HDMI output through the USB-C port without the dock. This wasn’t the case with the original Switch, but it is now. It’s a clear lockdown decision to try to sell more accessories.
