Roborock, the ones who transformed the world of robot vacuum cleaners, decided it was time to get serious also with cordless vacuum cleaners. Thus the H60 series is born, with in parallel the H60 Hub versions equipped with a self-emptying base.

This is not the usual vacuum cleaner “for the days when the robot doesn’t make it”: here the ambition is to make it do the main job. It is not the usual line of cordless stick vacuums thought for the quick little task: these are reliable products, designed with criteria to cover all needs, from those looking for a compact stick for small apartments, to those who need more pushed performance, up to those who, due to allergies, do not want to literally put their nose in the dust, avoiding direct contact with dirt and finding the stick vacuum always clean, charged and ready, with an advanced filtration system.

What they have in common

What the Auto-Empty Dock adds in the Hub versions

The Hub versions (H60 Hub, Hub Pro, Hub Ultra) include a base that does two jobs:It automatically empties the dust collected by the stick into a sealed bag (2 L or 3 L depending on the variant).It simultaneously charges the stick vacuum when it is placed in the dock.In the Hub Pro and Ultra versions you can store the accessories hiding them in the base.

Practical use: how they behave in real life

On hard floor the H60 “slides” light like a racing bike, very light (~1.7–1.8 kg), they are handled easily also thanks to the good balance, they do not fatigue wrist and arm. The tube that bends allows you to reach under beds without kneeling like a restorer of the Uffizi, while the extendable tube of the Hub versions adapts to the height of every user.The green light shows you what you would NOT have wanted to see: no longer just “clean house”, but “oh my God look what lived under here”.On carpets and fur, the Pro/Ultra versions start to “chew dirt” seriously. They work well on short-pile carpets, more in difficulty on long-pile carpets where the conformation of the roller does not help to agitate the fibers to remove debris deeper down, but on all other surfaces it has the merit of not agitating you. You do not have to go over multiple times like with cheap sticks, here what it sucks, it takes away, without tangles on the brush thanks to the JawScraper Hybrid system.

It also has flaws

Real autonomy in “high power” modes drops very quickly.
No automatic mode that adjusts power by itself based on the amount of dirt: this feature besides being convenient could have helped in offering a better balance between power and autonomy, without having to intervene manually.
The self-emptying base of the Ultra Hub version is big: like a relative added by treachery in the house: you have to find it a dedicated place, it does not disappear by itself.
Edges and corners: excellent, but not magic. If you expect geometric miracles a priest can help.

The H60 series from Roborock is perfect for those who want real quality of use without too many frills and at affordable prices, it is not “an alternative”: it is a vacuum cleaner for those who clean for real and do it daily. If you have carpets, fur, people in the house, real life, you notice it immediately.The Hub version is the turning point for those who do not want to touch dust ever again. It costs more and occupies space, but it eliminates a gesture that everyone hates.All at accessible prices for the features offered, from 249 euros of the H60 to 499 euros of the top version H60 Hub Ultra.It is not a perfect product but a product that does the right thing: it cleans well, if you choose the right version based on house and habits, you will have a product that works, economical, light and that will make you want to use it.

Wow, I really liked the vacuum cleaner 🧹🫧

I think for me the H60 Pro is the best option because the fact that it works excellent with carpets and pet hair already gives it a plus, maybe I would add the Hub but I imagine it has an extra cost 🫠 And regarding that topic, do you know if the H60 Pro has any mode for cleaning/suctioning liquids on carpets?

I was recently looking into buying a handheld vacuum cleaner, but I was thinking about it because I didn’t really know the differences between each model and what they offer.

Now with your post and the comparison you made, I can see what other options there are that are cheaper and fit what I need.

I’m wondering if the Dock makes sense though. From the photos, it looks a bit bulky and it doesn’t add much functionality other than making the process of emptying the vacuum less frequent, but at the cost of having to buy bags.

Is there any other plus side to it that I’m missing?

dsmonteiro In fact you can find the same product both in the version with the base and in the version without it. I mean, for some people it makes sense to have the base because maybe they don’t want to empty the vacuum container manually, maybe they have dust allergies for example, in the Ultra version, which I’m not testing yet, the accessories can be stored inside the base, so even visually, in terms of organization, it’s a plus.
On top of that, well, charging… by placing it on the base, besides emptying automatically, it charges the vacuum’s battery.
Yes, you have to buy the bags, if you don’t like that and you have no problem dealing with dust manually, or you don’t have a dedicated space… there is an alternatevive.
