It’s been a while since we reviewed our upcoming pipeline. Looking at this year’s releases from CES and MWC, we are seeing a massive wave of innovation—ranging from smartphones and smartwatches to AR glasses and AI-powered devices. We want to identify the newest products to see how our community responds to them. As always, our review selections will be entirely driven by community votes.
Some of you might be curious about how we select products for our tryouts. It’s a two-stage process fully driven by you! First, during the Nomination Stage, we gather all the products nominated based on your community’s likes. Then, we move to the Voting Stage, where users vote to decide which products will finally be tested. Whether you’re pitching fresh ideas in the first stage or picking the winners in the second, you have a direct say in what we review next.
But is this mechanism flawless? Honestly, maybe not. Sometimes, pure voting means only the trendiest mainstream products—like gaming phones—get selected. This can cause us to miss out on some incredibly innovative, niche products that also deserve our attention.
We want to balance community trends with true innovation. That’s why we’re looking to form a specialized ‘Category Squad’—a dedicated group of hands-on enthusiasts who can help us discover, test, and share feedback on these unique, cutting-edge products before they hit the mainstream.
