Any PC builders on here?

Recently got into the hobby, wondering what everyone’s thoughts are about the new NVIDIA RTX 4000 series! Do you guys think it will be a worthy upgrade

Never got into PC building, had a co worker that enjoys it and it sounded cool. So while I can’t give you an opinion here, that does seem neat.

I am able to build a pc to play games and stuff, but I wouldn’t call myself a pc builder. It has ever only been putting hardware together which I could afford and making it work. It has been back in my younger days where casemodding was about to start

Matthias When I was a kid, it was my dream to have an ultimate computer. Now, I realize there is no end to building an “ultimate computer” I will just stick with my pocket.

Matthias hahah we’re about the same level then. I’m in no way a pro when it comes to this stuff, just look up tutorials on how to install things and pray it works. 😅

There is a lot of pre-requisite research before it goes, I am still scanning all the articles and specs.

Tingy I am able to get a pc working, but since the last time so much has changed and I would need to educate myself what socket is used for wich CPU etc. I have used some tutorials before, especially to exchange my Nintendo switches Joystick because it had been drifting. It dit this for the third time so I had to fix it several times.

Matthias I bought a third party controller instead, much cheaper and no drift.

SprintingWorm that has been something I’ve also tried. So I got those joyapds wich only lack of nfc, but for anything else they mostly the same to Nintendo’s JoyCons. So I also didn’t get a drift error, but a connection error because the connector wich is in the connecting-slider-rail or what it is called. So I got every now and then the joyoad missing wich lately turns out to be missing most of the time and became totally unplayable with this

At least I am not a lucky person when it comes to JoyCons.

Matthias I don’t buy Amibos, that’s why the nfc feature is alright to me. But when it comes to amibo, I will just walk to my joy con.

Matthias Yeah I definitely have the drift issues with my JoyCons too. Luckily mine didn’t appear until after I’d had my switch for a while but it’s still annoying.

SprintingWorm I also don’t buy amiibos, so it is quite okay with me. Sadly I had the controller for about 3 month until the connections issue appeared.

Tingy I’m not currently a PC builder but it’s something that’s on my bucket list lol! When I finally get enough money and time, I definitely want to build one.

Yes, the lack of time and money is stopping me most of the time from doin stuff like this. And the kids of course, the would watch me building and then they would possibly bite into the RAM. Lately it is not something to do while having little kids and no save space to leave your project.

Matthias Haha yeah the kids would definitely make it more difficult.

Heyo I have a Logitech f310 for about 8 years, it has been played quite more often than the switches JoyCons have, but it is as good as new. Nintendo could have made a better joycon, or at least they could have fixed their crappy josticks..
