Alex14 Great question! Honestly, I went all in on cloud storage a few years ago so I don’t really a lot, but still with the size of operating systems and apps and photos these days, I think 128 is about the lowest I’d go. That’s what I have now.

256GB but am heavily debating getting 512GB for my next smartphone.

I have been asked to tryout a Umidigi smartphone, it is a low cost model with Android 12 go. So this one has 32GB internal storage. A little bit less than my 128GB I am used to.

Matthias oh good luck with that, last time I tried Android Go I was not a fan at all. It didn’t help things run any smoother.

DarkPikaJP yes, I have made the same experience the last time I have gotten my hands o. A android go device and I am not a fan of the go version, but maybe this is just because I am used to the speed of a Snapdragon 8xx or 7xx device.

But if you don’t need much more than been able to browse the internet, make calls and sometime take a photo this would possibly be an option.

I currently have an iphone 11 (ot it is 12.. sorry i can’t help to remember and I think you don’t care). 128GB of space of which about 30 are used by pics and videos. I have a single game taking about 11Gb!
Apps are getting larger and larger!

seriousjoker you got that right about the apps. I see 128gb being the barr minimum.

I think it was smart that Google released the Pixel 4a in only one variant with 128GB/6GB. Unless someone’s expectation from a phone is absolute bare-bones, I wouldn’t recommend a lower spec to anyone.

My phone has a 256gb storage and is actually enough. Could think of taking one w/ 512gb in the future but only because of the high resolution photos I usually take 😊

My phone has a 128 gb storage, which I found out it is not much if you are a Social Media Manager, because I collect a lot of videos and photos that I can’t delete. If I could go back, I’d buy a 256gb storage phone!
