How do you think the future will be?

I think it will be similar to what Mark Zuckerberg wants to create with Meta. Avatars, artificial intelligence, virtual reality…

What is the unique technology in any science fiction or your mind that you want the most?

When I was a child I saw a movie where the protagonist found a clock, which when you press a button, time stops. Everything was on pause, except for the one with the watch. I know it’s impossible, but I was impressed with that movie😅

So when I think “sci-fi” I think movies, teleportation, robotics and AI. Star wars, light sabers, modern millennium falcon. With robotic tech, the first thing that came to mind is a replica, something like Alter Ego. I wouldn’t mind being able to experience the act of “being there while not actually being there”. Travel around the world while still being at home, not having to deal with airports. VR and AR is getting close with this but still a ways to go.

Kind of hard to choose. I would like to have a transportation system like it is used in Stargate, or the one which is used in the Teleport books by Joshua Tree, but I am not sure if it is that practical to get a new clone-body each time you use the teleporter and wich will be turned into a raw resource to build up new bodies. Or maybe something like the phase switching device like it is used in the long earth by Terry Pratchett and Stephen Baxter to switch between the differen parallel worlds. And spaceships of course.

kalpesh_23 I am not sure if time traveling would be that good Idea because of the risk in damaging the continuum, timeline, butterfly effect or whatever you will call it.

But if there would be a time machin I would love to drive it would be the TARDIS.
