This review is kind of complementary to the Xiaomi pad 5 one, but since newer Xiaomi tablet will support it, here it is a review
Build quality and external impression 3.5/5
To be honest I’m not impressed with build quality, because of the 2 buttons that are not as clucky as I’d want and not so firmly placed, giving a cheap feeling, while the rest of the pen feels very nice
Taking notes ⅘
This is the main reason I got the pen, and it does very well paired with Squid notes, because the Xiaomi note app (that you can recall with a long press on the first button) it’s not very complete and it’s pretty minimal
Palm rejection is very good (it only occurs a couple of time in 2 hours of writing that my palm is taken as 2 fingers) and the resizable screenshot with long press on the second button it’s a blessing. Both buttons can be customized but only for short press, and also the other side of the pen doesn’t work to delete as other do.
Latency is negligible for notes taking
Drawing ⅘
I’m not really an artist, so take my opinion as it is
Jitter is ok, latency is noticeable if you write fast but It’s still usable
Battery 5/5
It lasts 8 continuous hours on a full charge and realistically you will put it magnetically charging on the tablet
Conclusion 3.75/5
For 99 euros I sincerely expected better quality and it has no particular features, so it’s an ok pen but nothing more
