Do you like work from home? What kept us all from working at home?

Are there any technical difficulties in your mind that make us can’t work at home? After a week of working at home, I am confused now.

What tech do you think will help us work at home?

SprintingWorm I like the idea of working from home, and for some kind of work and circumstances it would be a blessing. But if there are children around which needs to been cared for it would be more stressful than beeing on the workplace. For me it wouldn’t be an option because of my work itself. There is no chance to get the needed spare parts and stuff to my home, and don’t ask for getting a EPA into my place and ESD Tools and stuff.

Big technical difficulty for me is lack of good internet. Being stuck at DSL makes companies look right past my resume. If I had good internet, I would like to work from home.

I really like to work at home. There is no schedule besides being calmer😀👍

Matthias I really enjoy working from home, mainly due to the flexibility. With a young family at home, it’s really helpful to be able to come and go during the day when I need to to help out with the family.

However, I also know that I enjoy and need human interaction regularly so I have a co-working space that I go to twice a week to be able to be around other people. I like having both options to be able to go into an office when I need to, or working from home when I want to.

As far as tech goes, I have my standing desk and a solid mesh network system is really what helps me out.

Heyo I would enjoy it if my work was suitable for it. And if the kids would have a space to spent their time to play.

I think WFH is great as it cuts down the commuting time and I have more free time to actually do my hobbies. The downside to this is that I can’t/struggled to separate worklife as I worked in my bedroom and found it hard to unwind. And when the internet connection dips..

Matthias Yeah it’s certainly not for everyone and not every job can accommodate it either. I’m certainly very blessed to be able to do it.

@mervin_jj yeah that is very true. I think it’s very important to be able to separate the 2 somehow. Luckily for me, in our new house there’s a little part that’s tucked away where I can work so it’s been good for us so far.
