If your phone has earphone jack, would you still buy TWS/Ear buds?

As for going around on the bus, train, or just walking TWS give you so much freedom from cables, but are also terrible for calls, so I end up plugging wired earbuds to make long calls

SprintingWorm I won’t. I know earbuds are more comfortable withouth cables but I agree with you there are some expensive earbuds with a poor quality

SprintingWorm Yea I would still do wireless. I was doing wireless when my older phones still had the jack. Though Tingy makes a good point about the gaming, plus, wired will not drain the battery like wireless.

SprintingWorm Interesting question. I honestly don’t know. Personally, I’m not much of an ‘audiophile’ so I tend to prefer the convenience of TWS earbuds but you are right that 50 dollar, and in some cases 14 dollar, wired earbuds usually sound better than most wireless ones.

I think for everday use, I’d still buy TWS. I’m just too used to wireless now.

This question is definitley the biggest debate among mobile gamers. Wired is 100% preferred but for most smartphones, the wire gets in the way and leads you to hold it in uncomfortable positions. And then when it comes to TWS, most of the time there is latency issues when gaming.

So yeah, mobile gamers lose either way :/

SprintingWorm Yeah that is true. I don’t use headphones enough I think for it to really make that much of a difference in my case but if you use them a lot I can definitely understand that frustration.

mervin_jj That’s a good point. My company gave me a conference call style headset for my work calls so I don’t think too much about using other headphones but I can see that being annoying.

SprintingWorm most of the time I use TWS Earbuds. Don’t need to mess up with the cars is worth the loose of a bit of sound quality. And tho I am usually not making that much calls the Microphone wouldn’t be anything I would bother. Sometime I still use my wired Over-Ear headphones, but once in a week would be a lot.

I’ve been using the old-school Apple Airpods for a few years not. The sound quality ain’t great but I find them comfortable and they work pretty well with my phone for when I’m out walking about.

SprintingWorm I’d buy TWS version ’cause there are no problems with cables rolling, and also because I always listen to music with my phone and having no cables gives me a lot of freedom.
