DarkPikaJP Thanks for the review! Personally, I’ve I’ve used a lot of OnePlus phones, both flagships and the Nord series and I honestly feel like the Nord line is going the way of their flagship line. It started out great, but they’re compromising more and more to squeeze out every dollar they can. I agree that I don’t think I’ll spend money on a Nord phone, at least not as a primary device.

Heyo What’s your feeling on OnePlus recently? I know everyone has been saying how OnePlus lost their way and they are becoming more and more of a sub-brand of Oppo. My last phone was the One Plus 8 Pro and I loved it. I personally feel like during the 7 and 8 series was the peak of their fame and these last few phones they released just seem un-interesting.

Tingy Yea, we have spoken a little about this throughout heyup. They have lost their way. For me, they started going off the rails after ditching the pop up camera. The hype is gone, they are becoming like everyone else.

Tingy Oneplus nowdays is really almost no different from Oppo, and I myself had to choose between a Oneplus 9 Pro or an Oppo Find X3 Pro, but to be honest the only difference is the camera, which is better on the Oppo and also has the microscope gimmick

Tingy Yeah I agree. They really are losing their way, which I’m starting to believe was all just smoke and mirrors anyway and never really something they believed. I’ve been closely involved with OnePlus at many levels and I’ve seen first hand how they’ve walked away from a lot of what they said at the start.

I’ve come to believe that the entire OnePlus ‘experience’ was all just one of the most extensive marketing campaigns ever conceived. It was literally just a marketing concept to help OPPO break into the US. That’s my feeling.

DarkPikaJP It’s sad, I really did like OnePlus’s branding style and their bloatware free UI.

One Plus was so interesting phone for me. But I never use it, cause of the selling politics in our country. Here it is looks like a expensive smartphone. But I think this device good than some another chinesse brands.

Tingy Oh yeah. When they first started out, they were great. The 3T really started their era of peak design which culminated in the 7 Pro (maybe the 8 Pro) then everything just fell apart after that.
