SprintingWorm Honestly, that sounds great, but I feel like “performance” is relative these days. Better performance than what? On benchmarks? For gaming? For photography? I’ll nerd out about specs with the best of them but rarely have I found that performance to translate to much real world difference.

Part of me feels like we’re getting to a point where we won’t be able to tell a difference much anymore lol. Like how fast is too fast lol? I’m fine with the performance levels these days so just give me more battery life.

If the leaks are true the improvement of power per Watt ratio will get us way better smartphone, because as I discussed I while ago, this is the parameter that really matters, and it’s why in everyday use a Dimensity 8100 is better than a Snapdragon 888 for example

It is certainly nice when a new generation is a real change and not a simple sequential upgrade, I think they should focus more on consumption and temperatures, both the performance of the snapdragon 888 and the 8th gen1 have been very slowed down by thermal throttling.
