Ivyisme you make a great point and I’m the same way! Its almost like virtual doctor visits. Its not the same connection.
I feel like therapy will be a soon target for AI. I cant see doing that. Its hard enough to go from in person to virtual but that’s what most of them are doing, even if its not as helpful. So if virtual therapy is not as helpful, how helpful would AI really be 🤔
As I mentioned before about the necklace, it might be helpful for small things but don’t think it could/should be a permanent replacement.
Using AI to reconnect with a late pet or loved one is a good thought to have. It’ll probably get to that point but will involve a lot of work. I think it’ll be harder for pets than humans but its something I would like to see. While writing this I was picturing using the AI necklace to reconnect. Then I thought, if we make an AI pet toy of a previous pet, would there be end or would we want an AI pet toy of every pet owned. I also really hope as this becomes a reality that the makers think about the animal shelters and rescues. For each AI pet sold, a portion should go to a shelter because less people may be adopting.
Now using AI to reconnect with someone who has passed has its flaws as well. Like you said, it won’t be the same as if they are there. Therefore, it could make one’s mental state worse 🤔
