Beats Solo ($150)

I really like the Beats headphones but, I think they’re a bit overrated. They have clear sound quality and they lasts for three days without charging them. My issue is that they really don’t sound any different than my JBL Headphones. They’re not louder than the JBL.

The quality of material and how they feel on the head and ears might be better than the JBL but, I don’t really see why they’re $150? Maybe I’m missing something…

I’m not saying they’re not good, they are. I’m just saying that they’re expensive and I don’t know why. I enjoy them, but if anyone can tell me what I’m missing on them for them to be that expensive, by all means, comment. I do however like the $300 pair. Noise cancelling, such a comfortable fit, and the sound clarity on those are ten times better than any other brand I’ve ever used. I mean, if I had $300 to spend on it then I would. Lol

Would I buy them again? Probably not. I would, however, buy the $300 pair.

LisaAdams Hi Lisa. Yeah, I would have to agree with you that Beats headphones are overpriced. Honestly I think they’ve always been overpriced and really only could get away with charging so much because of the hype and branding. Even more so after Apple bought them. They’ve always been decent mid-range headphones, with really heavy bass, but not much more than that, at least in my experience. I personally don’t know anyone who uses them lol.

The pair I had lasted less than a year, before packing in and refusing to take a charge. When I went back to the vendor, customer service was awful and I had to take out a complaint. They said it was a one in a thousand chance of this happening. Not according to some other users, whose reviews I have seen. I went for smaller earbuds, after this, and the only even remotely expensive headphones I have purchased since have been Apple earbuds, B&O earbuds (which I love) and a pair of (yes) Beats earbuds, which I prefer to the over-ear Solo, when it comes to quality and sound quality.

The B&O and the Oladance open ear earbuds, which I received from Heyup, are my favourites. Both superb in their way, and much loved.

They make good speakers, but not sure about the earbuds.
