Solution for Netflix chromecast audio!
Problem:
When I first got my Boxe I was frustrated because there wasn’t any native support to cast netflix onto the screen. So, I had to download the app which is a complete joke. Having to use mouse mode is a pain in the ass. So I came up with the amazing solution to hook a chromecast into the HDMI port of the boxe which worked great! Only problem was that when casting from the netflix app the audio format wasn’t supported which led it to being no audio whatsoever. So I was back to square one…
Solution:
Go into the google home app and chose my chromecast “Aminos room”. Then I went into settings, then audio and finally I choose “stero”. This forces all apps that are casting onto your chromecast to share stero sound, which the boxe supports. This will fix audio problems on other apps too, not only Netflix.
