What is your opinion on DIY Repairability Phone?

I was reading this news on cnet, it mentioned about self repairability of our cellphones.

as of myself, I dont change my phone too often, still using the same one from 3 years ago, and from my personal experience I’d expect and appreciate the phone companies extend the warranty.

But, if I can easily fix my phone by myself, I’d be happy to do that too

Whats your thoughts?

EvilZelda I think is a great idea and will be helpful. But I think that the mobile companies are not for that function, they want to sell mobile phones and not that they can be repaired
