Dreame X40 Pro Ultra – Beta Tester Review

As a beta tester for the Dreame X40 Pro Ultra, I’ve had the opportunity to use this robot extensively from its early development stages. It’s an impressive device packed with innovative features and cutting-edge technology. Here’s my detailed review:

Key Features & Specifications

🔹 Hot Mop Washing: Washes mops at up to 75°C with adjustable water temperature (4 stages).

Unboxing Experience

One of the standout aspects of Dreame products is the high-class unboxing experience. The X40 Pro Ultra continues this tradition, offering sleek and well-organized packaging that ensures every component is securely placed and easily accessible. The premium presentation reflects Dreame’s commitment to quality and innovation, making the initial experience feel luxurious and exciting.

Pros

Outstanding Mopping Performance: The dual rotating mops and hot water cleaning deliver spotless results, especially on hard surfaces.

Innovative LIDAR System: Adjustable LIDAR allows cleaning under low-lying furniture, a unique feature.

Quiet Operation: Industry-leading noise reduction ensures minimal disturbance, even during vacuuming.

Comprehensive Cleaning: Handles dirt, dust, and debris efficiently, with intelligent adjustments for stubborn areas.

High-Class Presentation: From unboxing to setup, Dreame ensures a premium user experience.

Cons

Not Ideal for Pet Owners: Long pet hair wraps around the dual rollers, requiring frequent maintenance, making it less suitable for households with pets.

Handling Long Hair: Struggles with long hair, which often clogs the rollers and requires regular cleaning.

Lack of Updates: Since the beta testing phase ended, the robot hasn’t received any firmware updates, limiting its potential improvement.

Regional Availability: Currently launched only in Singapore, with no clear timeline for global availability.

Voice & System Control: Works only in English, which may limit usability for non-English speakers.

🟢 Overall Impression

The Dreame X40 Pro Ultra is a high-performance robot vacuum and mop with unparalleled cleaning capabilities on hard surfaces. The luxurious unboxing and presentation further enhance the premium feel of the product.

However, its struggles with long pet hair and the absence of post-launch updates are notable drawbacks. For pet owners or households with long hair, this robot may not be the best choice. With consistent updates, multilingual support, and expanded global availability, the X40 Pro Ultra could become a leading contender in the smart cleaning industry.

AdriSpiro why do you delete it? Thanks for sharing 😉👍 great review 💪💪 I restore it😉

I really liked it, it was a good, simple, straightforward review straight to the point, thanks for sharing.👌

Although I think that in this age of technology they still have a lot to improve, I once had one before and the lint and hair get tangled very easily. I think that in this age of technology they still need a lot of improvement, I once had one and if the lint and hair get tangled in it very easily, it ended up getting ruined and I threw it away 😣

Rives333R They have done a great job with the X50 Ultra double rolls, but they are similar to the ones Narwal has, and there is no hair.

dsmonteiro Yeah, if you think ChatGPT understands my experience, then I’m sorry to say that it doesn’t know about the problem with hair that the robot has. Anyway thank you for your comment.

I don’t dispute that you have tried the robot and that the feedback in it stems from your experience, and if that’s the case, I apologize for the cheap-shot comment above. But it’s also pretty evident that the content was written by an LLM, even if you provided the information to write it.

It makes it feel generic and dilutes your own personal experience — like the problem with hair you just mentioned. I would’ve rather read copy that is possibly less polished but has your tone, than something that feels impersonal and that could’ve come from anyone with a prompt window.

I could’ve possibly mentioned this in my original comment rather than going on the offense, and, again, I apologize for that. But the plague of AI-generated content sometimes gets the best of me.
