Hi everyone!
I’ve just applied for the Next-Gen Mobile Power Tryout and I’m joining the discussion here as suggested.
I’m a tech reviewer focusing mostly on smartphones, handhelds and gaming-oriented devices. My usual workflow includes testing thermal stability, battery efficiency, display quality and real-world gaming performance across different refresh rates. I also review camera systems with attention to low-light behavior, color science and video stabilization.
Since the two selected devices have very different identities, I would approach them with two separate testing paths:
🔥 REDMAGIC 11 Pro – Gaming-focused testing
• Long gaming sessions (20–30 min) to monitor sustained performance
• Heat distribution and stability under high load
• Battery drain benchmarks in real gameplay
• Touch response, haptics and general gaming comfort
• High refresh rate behavior and real-world frame consistency
📸 nubia Z80 Ultra – Photography & everyday flagship experience
• Low-light and HDR performance with the new sensor configuration
• Color accuracy and consistency across lenses
• Portrait and street photography tests
• Video stabilization and rolling-shutter performance
• Battery life and daily usability compared to similar flagships
Happy to exchange ideas with other applicants — and curious to see what everyone is planning to focus on!
